It's the first taste of new music since the band's latest album RUCKUS!, which arrived in summer 2023 via Fearless Records.
Movements' push and pull style of post-hardcore, defined by dissonant, tension and release guitar work, thunderclap percussion, and frontman Patrick Miranda's heartfelt lyrics and vocals, is perfectly executed on "Afraid to Die." When speaking about the record, it's hard for the band to pinpoint what inspired them in writing its songs, but for the four of them, there was a lot going on both personally and professionally in their lives. "We kind of grew out of our 20s between this record and last" says Torf. "Like a lot of people, you go through so many different things in life and you're faced with new challenges. As a band, when you go through hardships you realize that some things are more important than music. These can and do take priority over playing, and that can feel divisive. British rockers earthtone9 just released their new album 'In Resonance Nexus' and to celebrate we asked vocalist Karl Middleton to tell us about the track "Navison Record". Here is the story:

At the time I was living in Detroit, Michigan, 5000 miles from my friends and family in the UK and my mother and father were both in cancer treatment. I listened to the instrumental demo a lot purely as a fan and enthusiast but wasn't in the right head space to write music. (continue)
