Aerosmith are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their landmark album Get Your Wings, with the release of a Limited Edition vinyl via UMe/Capitol out May 17th, as well as a new merch collection.
Limited to numbers 1-1974 to honor the year of the album's release, the collector's item is pressed on 180g custom color "gold sparkle" vinyl, housed in an embossed gold foil jacket. Each copy is uniquely numbered with gold foil and encased in black poly-lined sleeves, preserving the quality and sound of this iconic album. Inside, fans will find a 70's-era Aerosmith logo sticker and a replica of a vintage ad, adding to the nostalgia of this celebratory release. (continue)
Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver star Duff McKagan has announced an expanded digital edition of his acclaimed third solo album, LIGHTHOUSE, available now at all DSPs and streaming services. Zac Brown Band have delivered their brand new summer anthem, "Tie Up", as they prepare to hit the road next month as part of Kenny Chesney's Sun Goes Down Tour, as well as select shows.
The track was inspired by Brown's own favorite place to tie up, on scenic Lake Lanier in North Georgia. "There's a little spot on Lake Lanier called 'Cocktail Cove' that we actually mention in the song. Growing up fishing and being on that lake was a big part of my childhood," Brown explains. The Gaslight Anthem has released HISTORY BOOKS - SHORT STORIES, a new EP via their own Rich Mahogany Recordings label via Thirty Tigers. The EP was produced by Butch Walker, and collects four exclusive tracks including the band's anthemic take on Billie Eilish's 3x RIAA Platinum-certified breakthrough single, "Ocean Eyes," as well as a brand new rendition of the longtime fan favorite, "Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts," and stripped-down acoustic performances of "Positive Charge" and "History Books," the original versions of which can be found on The Gaslight Anthem's acclaimed 2023 return to action, HISTORY BOOKS.
"We had an idea after we finished recording the album to record some acoustic versions of History Books and Positive Charge," says Brian Fallon. "Then at the same time, I had been listening to this Billie Eilish song my daughter showed me on the way to school one morning called 'Ocean Eyes' and I thought, 'hey that would be a great song for The Gaslight Anthem to cover.' (hennemusic) Lenny Kravitz has released a video for "Human", the second single from his forthcoming album, "Blue Electric Light." The clip surfaces online following the rocker's debut of the song during a March 20 appearance on NBC-TV's The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
"Human" follows the set's lead track, "TK421", as the latest preview to the album, which will be released on May 24. Kravitz will "Blue Electric Light" with a European tour that opens in Hamburg, Germany in late June and features a number of festival dates. (continue)
