Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford says that the band pays tribute to late legendary metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio and Motorhead singer Lemmy Killmister on the closing track to their new album, "Invincible Shield."
Halford revealed the news in the new issue of Classic Rock magazine, stating the song "Giants In The Sky" honors the late vocalists. (continue)
Southern rockers Blackberry Smoke took to social media on Sunday (March 3rd) to share the sad news that drummer Brit Turner has died after a battle with glioblastoma. He was 57 years old.
The band wrote, "It is with the deepest sorrow that we inform everyone that our brother Brit Turner has moved on from this life. If you had the privilege of knowing Brit on any level, you know he was the most caring, empathetic, driven and endearing person one could ever hope to meet. Brit was Blackberry Smoke's True North, the compass that instituted the ideology that will continue to guide this band. (continue)
Poison frontman Bret Michaels told fans during a Q&A session on the Rock Legends Cruise XI that the band will be regrouping to embark on another stadium and arena tour next year.
The band took part in the blockbuster Stadium Tour with the reunited Motley Crue and Def Leppard. He said of Poison's future plans, "When we go back, I think in 2025, it's always been, to me, all-original Poison. We'll have C.C and Bobby and Rikki and myself and go do another big stadium tour and arena tour in 2025." (continue)
Sublime with Rome, announces the dates for The Farewell Tour kicking off April 11th, just after the release of their final single "Love Is Dangerous" on April 5th. The final farewell self-titled Sublime with Rome album will follow later this year.
The touring members for this final leg will consist of Rome Ramirez, Joe Tomino on drums, Brian Allen (Miranda Lambert, Zac Brown) on the bass, and Gabrial McNair (No Doubt, Green Day), on the trombone/keys. (continue)
Slightly Stoopid and Dirty Heads have announced that they will be teaming gup their summer to launch their Slightly Dirty Summer Tour across the U.S. that will feature support from The Elovaters, with Common Kings joining on select dates.
