Thrash metal legends Slayer will be reuniting to headline the second night of this year's Louder Than Life Festival at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY on September 26, 27, 28 & 29, 2024.

Slipknot will headline the first night, followed by Slayer, then Motley Crue will lead the lineup on the third night, with Korn headlining the final night of festival. Single day and weekend General Admission as well as Park Community VIP passes for Louder Than Life are on sale now starting as low as $10 down. (continue)

Legendary Foreigner guitarist and cofounder Mick Jones took to social media on Wednesday morning (February 21) to share the news with fans that he has been battling Parkinson's Disease.

Jones wrote, "Fans will have become very aware that for some time now, I have not been performing onstage with the band. A number of years ago I was
diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. I want everyone to know that I am doing alright, however, l've always liked to be at my best when performing onstage, and sadly at present find that a bit difficult. (continue)

Trans-Siberian Orchestra touring member Vitalij Kuprij, who is also known for his work with Artension and Ring Of Fire, has died at the age of 49, according to a social media post from his friend Lars Eric Mattsson.

He shared via social media, "Woke up to really sad news this morning as my dear friend and keyboard maestro Vitalij Kuprij has passed away last night. The Ukranian born virtuoso was living in Philadelphia and recently came off another hugely successful tour with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. (continue)

Felicity have released "CHARLIE SHEEN", featuring Jon Lundin of Point North, out now via Zodhiac Records which has been loved and dubbed a "vibrant, radio friendly hit" by Charlie Sheen himself.

"The world is truly a crazy place. We started this band in the garage of Damien's parents, and I remember we used to jam Point North's cover of 'Hammer' for fun to warm up and goof around. Back then, they were an up-and-coming band with such a unique sound that we always admired," says guitarist Drew Rapier. "This journey has been so INSANE! It's hard to believe that we are collaborating with Point North a few years later and releasing one of our favorite songs we've ever created, 'CHARLIE SHEEN.'" (continue)

Billy Morrison has shared the compelling video for "Drowning," the first single from his new solo album The Morrison Project out April 19 via TLG/Virgin Music Group.

The video illustrates the soul-destroying effects of information overload, and the single will officially be released this Friday (February 23. Morrision had this to say, "I drove everyone crazy with this video. First thing I said was 'we need underwater videography because I'm going to fall into a deep swimming pool with 20lbs of weights attached. So I sink like a stone. I want you to film it! (continue)

Seattle garage rockers Acid Tongue recently released "Acid on the Dance Floor," the title track to their forthcoming album, and to celebrate we asked Guy Keltner to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

I have been messing around with the riff of this song for a couple of years now. I f***ing hate jamming, but for some reason, whenever I am stoned (often) and someone asks me to play with them, I can't refuse. So, this riff has been pulled out quite a few times in desperation, and it always gets a reaction from my friends. It's easy as hell to play, and you can layer pretty much anything on top of it.
