Northlane have announced their new EP, Mirror's Edge, out April 12 (Independent). Alongside the news comes the colossal new single "Miasma," featuring Winston McCall from Parkway Drive.
"Miasma" is a throwback to Northlane's early heavy canon with its scathing and complex guitars, dynamic drumming, and commanding vocals. A tense song born out of frustration that has reached its tipping point, "Miasma" features a crushing performance from Parkway Drive frontman Winston McCall. McCall's guest appearance is a significant one for Northlane because, as guitarist Josh Smith explains, Parkway Drive set the blueprint for all heavy bands in Australia. (continue)
Chicago pop punk trio Definitely Maybe is today sharing a brand new music video for the track. Decked out in all pink and black, "Are We Having Fun Yet?" showcases a playful performance.
The band shares: "This video wrestles with the question "is it more fun to actually do the thing or to watch someone else do the thing?" Is it better to let other people do the work while you witness from the comfort of your own couch with your pals and your snacks? The video is both bright and sterile, playful and minimal, fun and aggressive - just like the song." (continue)

King Dream just released their new album "Glory Days V", and to celebrate we asked mastermind Jeremy Lyon to tell us about one of the track and he selected "Golden Shore". Here is the story:
It's been a seven year journey for "Golden Shore" to see the light of day. Guided by the principle that we are born loving each other before we're taught these constructs to hate one another based on socio-political differences, the song envisions a utopia where we do away with these divisions. "We weren't born with hatred / we were taught it as kids." It's also a song about second chances, be it in life or love. "All that's lost is found / the second time around." For me, back in early 2017, that was getting back together with my girlfriend, now wife, without whom, I have no idea where I'd be. (continue)
