Motley Crue have announced that they been forced to cancel their special "Crue Year's Eve" concert in the Palm Springs, California area due to issues beyond their control.
The band was set to play the concert at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, CA ("Greater" Palm Springs) on December 31st, rockin' into 2024 with fans with the one-off event, but this week they announced that they have pulled the plug on the show. (continue)
Bring Me The Horizon took to social media to share the news that they have parted ways with keyboardist and percussionist, Jordan Fish, who was with the group for 11 years.
The group had this to say, "Bring Me The Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish. We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future. Meanwhile we continue to work on Nex Gen, with brand new music coming very soon. Massachusetts technical deathcore band The Last King just premiered their first new video in two and half years for their song "Ancient Master", and to celebrate we asked them to tell us about the track. Here is the story:
The lyrics to Ancient Master were actually crafted during our vocalist Andrew's most recent horror movie binge. While each member in The Last King are already avid horror fans, Andrew is certainly a clear enthusiast who likes to incorporate various themes from the genre into his lyrics. While the music to Ancient Master was already fully written before any lyrics hit the page, it only took several listens for the visualization to quickly come together. The song's storyline matches the plot for our music video intentionally as the inspiration came entirely from the popular modern horror film "The Collector." (continue)
Social Distortion's Mike Ness Underwent Cancer Surgery was a top 23 story of June 2023: Social Distortion announce that they have postponed their upcoming North American headlining tour due to the stage-one tonsil cancer diagnosis of vocalist Mike Ness. As he recovers from a recent surgery, the band is also temporarily halting the recording process of their eighth studio album. The previously announced tour, set to kick off on June 30th with support from fellow California rockers The Bellrays, is now being rescheduled for future dates.
Check out the emotional statement from Ness: "We think that life is going to go according to our plan, but it has a way of saying 'I don't think so!' In the midst of pre-production, I was diagnosed with stage one tonsil cancer. I was feeling well enough to continue with recording in the studio up until the very day before surgery. (hennemusic) David Lee Roth Shared New Recording Of Van Halen Classic 'Atomic Punk' was a top 23 story of June 2023: David Lee Roth is sharing a new "studio live" version of the 1978 Van Halen classic, "Atomic Punk." The song was captured during a May 2022 session at Hollywood's Henson Recording Studio that saw Roth record 14 tracks in 2 hours with his most recent touring lineup of guitarist Al Estrada, bassist Ryan Wheele and drummer Francis Valentino.
While Roth is offering fans a free download of the newly-available track, "Atomic Punk" originally appeared on Van Halen's self-titled album debut, which peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 and went on to reach the rare feat of Diamond status for US sales of more than 10 million copies. The show at the city's Etihad Arena saw the band deliver "Bad Obsession" from "Use Your Illusion I" for the first time since 1993, according to setlist.fm, the first appearance since 1992 of the "Use Your Illusion II" song "Pretty Tied Up"; a version of the U.K. Subs' "Down On The Farm" from their 1993 covers album, "The Spaghetti Incident?", that hasn't been played since 2006; the live debut of The Stooges' classic, "T.V. Slipknot Released Videos For Unreleased Tracks was a top 23 story of June 2023: Slipknot have released two new music videos for unreleased music, "Memories (Adderall - Rough Demo)" and "Death March", which were both directed by multidisciplinary artist and Slipknot founding member, M. Shawn 'clown' Crahan.
Alongside the videos, the band has released the Adderall EP, which collects alternate versions and reworkings of the band's song "Adderall", along with non-LP tracks. The original studio version of "Adderall" is the lead-off track on SLIPKNOT's latest album THE END, SO FAR. (continue)

Steelheart Frontman Postponed Dates To Recovery From Heart Procedure was a top 23 story of June 2023: Steelheart frontman Miljenko Matijevic has been forced to postpone some upcoming tour dates due to complications from a recent surgery. Following the surgery, doctors found a hole in his heart, known as a PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale).
