Poison frontman Bret Michaels shared via social media that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer after he was inspired to see his doctor following the death of music legend Jimmy Buffett, who died recently after battling the rare, aggressive skin cancer Merkel Cell Carcinom.

Michaels shared, "Just knowing that I absolutely love the outdoors & the sun but with the recent passing of my friend Jimmy Buffett, I decided it was time for a more recent check up of something I thought was nothing. (continue)

British punk veterans Peter And The Test Tube Babies have shared their cover of The Rolling Stones' classic "Mother's Little Helper." The track follows their recent cover of the AC/DC track "Live Wire" for the High Voltage Punk - A Tribute To AC/DC compilation that also featured tracks by UK Subs, 999, Fear, Skids, Anti-Nowhere League, The Vibrators, and more.

Originally released in 1966 as part of their commercial and critical breakthrough album Aftermath, "Mother's Little Helper" showcased the burgeoning songwriting talent of the young Mick Jagger and Keith Richards while its subversive message, calling out the hypocrisy of upper-class drug users, cemented the Stones' credibility in the countercultural revolution. The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie, are set to perform a sold-out concert on October 3, 2023. This extraordinary performance, part of their landmark 20th anniversary co-headline North American tour, will be broadcast live starting at 8 p.m. PT from the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. The GRAMMY-winning title would not only mark their final release under MCA Records but also their last studio album for 20 years. The Hu have shared their first-ever animated music video for "Sell The World." It is a track from their sophomore 2022 album RUMBLE OF THUNDER and its deluxe version, released earlier this year via Better Noise Music.

"The 'Sell the World' music video is the first-ever animated music video from The HU," shares The Hu's producer Dashka. "It's our way of expressing the love we have for our earth. From the name of the song to the content of the video, we use sarcasm and exaggeration to show the unpleasantness of the world. It was easier to use the graphics and 3Ds to create visuals for the exaggerated message that the song has in its lyrics. (continue)

Like most people these days, I record a lot of song ideas on my phone. I try to be diligent and get them into a final form and then over to The Sarandons' Google Drive. Sometimes, whether I'm changing over phones, or just feeling anxious about have a bunch of voice memos piled up, I'll dump a whole bunch in a folder with the intention to come back and listen.
