8-time GRAMMY Award winner Carrie Underwood rocked the stage for the first of three stadium dates she is joining on the North American leg of Guns N' Roses World Tour 2023 at Croix-Bleue Medavie Stadium in Moncton, NB on Saturday night.
Underwood's eclectic set, backed by her stellar 8-piece band, included unique mash-ups and covers by some of Underwood's longtime rock inspirations such as Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, and Heart, while also covering other crowd-pleasing favorites by Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Motörhead. The enthusiastic crowd also sang along to Underwood's smash hits, as well as newer tracks from her most recent album, Denim & Rhinestones. (continue)
Avenged Sevenfold's "Nobody" is the No. 1 song in the U.S., according to Warner Records. The track was lead single from the group's latest album, "Life Is But A Dream", that arrived back in June.
From the single's original release: Upon release, "Nobody," was the band's first official music release since their 2016 album, The Stage, delivers nearly 6 minutes of tension, groove and dynamics. The song twists and turns beyond conventional songwriting and leans in on discomfort before letting go. The beautifully crafted stop-motion music video, which unfolds like a short film, is a stunning and powerful journey exploring the dichotomy between life and death, love and war, and follows the main character through an existential crisis. Stop motion is a handmade labor of love, often taking 90 minutes just to capture only 2 seconds of footage. (continue)

Beth Bombara just released her new album "It All Goes Up." We asked her to tell us about one of the track to celebrate, and she selected "Everything I Wanted." Here is the story:
All good ideas start in the kitchen. Ok, maybe not ALL, but a lot of mine do. It's rare that unlocking a song takes as long as this one did. It started as a slower, feel-good solo tune, complete with fingerpicked acoustic guitar. I liked the concept but the arrangement just didn't have the right energy. I started tossing it into random live sets, solo, or with the band. It was always fun, but just never felt quite right. When it came time to rehearse with the band for It All Goes Up, I was ready to leave this tune on the back burner, but we kept poking at it after working on other stuff. And during those rehearsals, I finally figured out what the song was missing. Sometimes you just gotta drone that bass line. And going hard with background vocals doesn't hurt either. (continue)
