Sammy Hagar says that "there's not going to be a Van Halen reunion", when he was asked about the idea of the surviving members of the band reuniting to play a tribute show in honor of late guitarist Eddie Van Halen.

Hagar made the comments during an appearance on the "That Rocks! YouTube series with Eddie Trunk, Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson. Sammy says that he reached out to Alex Van Halen to no avail. (continue)

(hennemusic) The Eagles have expanded their farewell tour with the addition of more fall US dates "due to overwhelming demand." Set to open in New York's Madison Square Garden on September 7, "The Long Goodbye" series will now feature second shows in New York, Boston, Denver, Indianapolis, Atlanta and St. Paul, MN.

The multi-year run will see Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands. (continue)

(hennemusic) Tony Iommi performed the Black Sabbath classic, "Paranoid", with the Hollywood Vampires in his hometown of Birmingham, UK on July 11, and fan-filmed video from the event is streaming online.

The show at the city's Utilita Arena saw Iommi appear for the night's encore following a set by the band as part of their current tour of the UK and Europe. (continue)

Royal Blood unveil their new single "Pull Me Through" along with an official video. The track previews their eagerly anticipated fourth album Back To The Water Below, which follows on September 1, a week earlier than previously stated. "Pull Me Through" is indicative of the broader palette of sounds that Royal Blood explore throughout Back To The Water Below. A step apart from anything they have previously released, the song builds upwards from its initial melancholic piano melody before erupting with a full-blooded denouement that ensures this stylistic shift is still resolutely Royal Blood. (hennemusic) Motley Crue is sharing a video recap of its July 1 performance at Wembley Stadium in London. The band delivered its standard 15-song show ahead of a headline appearance by UK heroes and touring partners Def Leppard.

The stadium performance took place the night after Motley Crue performed a secret gig at The Underworld Club in the city under the name Dogs Of War for the 450 fans who lined up and packed into the London club for the rare intimate show. (continue)
