(hennemusic) A Noel Gallagher concert in upstate New York was shut down on July 8 due to a bomb threat at the venue. According to Rolling Stone, the Saratoga Performing Afters Center announced an evacuation order to fans following performances by the evening's opening acts, Metric and Garbage, and around the scheduled start time for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
"At this time, we will need to evacuate the venue," read the announcement on digital monitors throughout the venue at around 10 p.m. without further explanation. "We ask you to calmly proceed to the nearest exit. Please follow directions of staff and police officers. For the safety of everyone, please do not rush or push. Thank you for your cooperation." (hennemusic) Iron Maiden were awarded a Gold Album award for UK sales of more than 100,000 copies of their latest album, "Senjutsu", prior to a two-night stand at London's O2 Arena this past weekend.
Warner Music UK CEO Tony Harlow was on hand for the presentation during the group's appearance on The Future Past Tour. "Gold? That's fantastic," says singer Bruce Dickinson. "From the launch of the first 'Senjutsu' track, ''The Writing On The Wall', we knew that this album would work really well live, and we're delighted that fans totally bought into an album with four songs over eight minutes long and another that is almost 13! Thy Art Is Murder have released a music video for their new single, "Keres," the second taste of their forthcoming album, "Godlike," out September 15th.

Howard Jones celebrates 40 years with 2023 marking the anniversary of the release of "New Song," the ebullient hit that kicked off his career. Jones will be touring the world this year to commemorate the event. Metal legend Ozzy Osbourne has broken the bad news to fans that he has been forced to pull out of taking part in the Power Trip Festival this fall, that will see performances from AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, and Tool.

The Church have announced that they have added a second North American leg to their tour in support of their latest studio album, "The Hypnogogue."

When I was ready to buckle down and begin crafting a new original single I knew I wanted two things: to connect with the listener in a way that I never have before, and to make sure it hits HARD. I brought this mindset to my co-producer Jonathan Dolese and we chatted for about an hour before a single note was written. One of my favorite methods to approach song writing is to start with a topic I feel passionate about. When "Echo" was conceptualized, I was listening to a lot of talks about human behavioral psychology and how modern technology plays a role in our day-to-day lives. For better & for worse. (continue)
