Kvelertak are back! Their new album Endling arrives on September 8 via Rise Records/Petroleum Records. Today, the band has shared the video for "Kroterveg Te Helvete." Watch it here.

"'Kroterveg Te Helvete' is a celebration of the intolerable levels of hardships of being in a popular rock band in 2023," says Kvelertak.

Thematically, the album continues on the path of 2020's critically acclaimed Splid by delving further into local lore and legend, though guitarist Vidar Landa summed it up best. "On Endling, we tell the stories of the extinct and dying men and women of Norway. Old and new myths, culture, and rituals come to life - the folklore that doesn't fit a TV series concept. Vikings and trolls are for television. This is the real deal." (continue)

Devildriver recently made their triumphant return with part two of their Dealing With Demons saga, their 10th full-length, 'Dealing With Demons Vol. II', out May 12, 2023 via Napalm Records. Once again produced and engineered by Steve Evetts with additional engineering from guitarist Mike Spreitzer, 'Dealing With Demons Vol. II' is inarguably heavier and relentlessly harsher than its predecessor - as proven last month with bludgeoning debut single, "Through the Depths".

Today, Devildriver have dropped another unrelenting track, entitled "If Blood is Life", plus an action-packed performance music video featuring exclusive footage from their recent US co-headline tour with labelmates Cradle of Filth. The dynamic anthem grips with an unforgettable hook and lead guitar lines, swaying with an undeniable headbang-worthy groove as it shifts between rhythmic passages. (continue)

(hennemusic) Rush bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee is sharing an update on release plans for his forthcoming memoir. In a new social media post, Lee confirms the project - edited by Noah Eaker and originally due last fall - is entitled "My Effin Life".

Lee previously detailed the origins of the project on Instagram in September 2021, writing, "So, how did I kill time during the pandemic? Little did I know that as of March 2020 I'd be locked down for over a year and a half-the longest time I'd spent in Toronto since I was nineteen and hit the Northern Ontario bar circuit with Rush. Although Nancy and I had to cancel a bunch of adventures we'd been planning, there were some shiny silver linings to be found at home: teaching my grandson the finer points of baseball and birdwatching, tending to my pups (one of whom was quite ill) and spending the evenings with my lovely better half, glass of Armagnac in hand, as we watched every European mystery show ever produced. Oh, and another thing: I began to write. Words, that is. (continue)

Lunatic High just released their explosive new single, "Paralyzed." To celebrate we asked them to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

"Paralyzed" is the third release from Lunatic High. We're a (kinda) brand new band from Baltimore, Maryland and Campo Grande, Brasil. It's something we're mega-excited to release, as it was our first recorded song and one we've waited to release for a while.

The song was conceived by accident, really. Our bassist and one of two founding members, Rob, was in another band with the other founding member, Daniel, years ago. We would hold day-long writing sessions at remote AirBNBs so we could write without having to worry about anything stupid like neighbors or bedtime. Unfortunately, that practice stagnated and nothing was really getting done. Rob was goofing off and improvised what became the intro riff to Paralyzed, and the other members of the band wanted to keep it and write from it. Then, for some bizarre reason, their drummer at the time asked Rob to keep playing it while he- I sh*t you not- screamed a Tom Morello-style (I think?) riff over the top of it. And I mean that literally, he just screamed it. I'm not sure what the goal was or if music was being made, but someone was definitely harmed. Of all moments in music history, that was one.
