Late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's son Jason says that he recently discovered a box containing a "whole bunch" of tapes that possibly may include some unreleased Led Zeppelin recordings.
Jason made the revelation during an appearance on The Vinyl Guide podcast. He explained (via Music Radar, "Believe it or not, Dad didn't like to play at all, at home. He had no recording equipment. We've got his old Revox two-track and that was literally just to be able to play mixes when he came back from the studio, they'd make another reel [for listening]." (continue)
Pearl Jam's Matt Cameron has taken to social media to shoot down a report that speculation that he would be one of the drummers joining the Foo Fighters at their upcoming live dates in the place of late drummer Taylor Hawkins.
This week marked the first anniversary of Hawkins death and the Foo Fighters have yet to announce who will be playing drums during their scheduled appearances this year. (continue)

But when she read a letter recently from Chouteau High School senior student, Emma Hughes, praising her teacher, Cathy Welker-Graham, who is an avid Elle King fan and Chouteau High's teacher of the year, she knew it was time to revisit the classroom.
Before her show in Tulsa on Friday, King and her guitarist completely surprised the student who sent the email, her favorite teacher and the entire student body when they marched through the school into her classroom where King praised Welker-Graham calling her "America's Sweetheart" before performing the hit song with that title to a room full of students, faculty and administrators. Upon Wings and singer Anne Autumn Erickson have released a new single "Deal Breaker" and music video. While Upon Wings is known for its guitar-driven rock and melodic metal, "Deal Breaker" offers a pop and hip-hop style, flirting with trap-pop. The track was produced, mixed and mastered by the late, great Kaz Drumatik.
Upon Wings recently released their 'Last Love' EP on Bandcamp via Sword of the Spirit Records. The title track from the 'Last Love' EP was mixed and mastered by Skidd Mills (Saving Abel, Pop Evil). The song also features Pepe Clarke Maga-a of California metal band Kyng on drums and longtime Upon Wings collaborator Kevin Jardine of Canada's Uplift Productions on production and guitars. Most of the album was written after a gut-wrenching breakup that ended in a cross-country move and a lot of pieces to pick up. And even though there were many things wrong with that relationship, the story told in "Birthday" encompasses a lot of anger and resentment that permeated that partnership, and eventually led to its end.
