Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds has released a lyric video for "Dead To The World", a remarkable new track taken from the eagerly anticipated fourth studio album Council Skies, due for release on June 2nd via Sour Mash Records.
The epic "Dead To The World" is "by some distance my favorite tune on the album," Noel says. "It has this film noir vibe. It's not like anything else I've ever done before. Performing songs from his extensive catalog, Cave will make stops at the beautiful King's Theatre in Brooklyn, Manhattan's Beacon Theater and Los Angeles' iconic Orpheum Theatre on a rare solo tour that includes accompaniment from Colin Greenwood on bass guitar. The coast-to-coast tour kicks off in Asheville, North Carolina on September 19th and includes two Canadian dates - at Montreal's Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier and Toronto's Massey Hall.

The Heartbreak album also featured "Don't Get Stopped In Beverly Hills" which earned MICKI and Hewitt Grammys as writers of the song. Creativity comes to different people in different ways. For Carly Simon, creativity is often found in environments of chaos. In a conversation with Dan Rather, the "You're So Vain" singer elaborated on how she's a messy and disorganized person by nature, but that often helps her own creative process.
"If I find something and it doesn't go in the story that I'm writing, I put a note to myself, 'Use in song for the Beach Boys,' say, for example," Simon said during the interview. "I used to be able to write songs in Grand Central Station waiting for the train, but I couldn't write it when I was at home at my desk supposedly going to write." (continue)

Karma began with a 2 AM creative dump. I didn't intend to write a song that night; I was more exploring my guitar, trying to find new tunings to mess around with. I was testing different capo placements when I played the verse lick of Karma. I wasn't entirely convinced it was "a part" yet. It did, however, get my attention enough to record it in voice memos. My dad was actually the one who encouraged me to explore the idea further after I shared that snippet of it with him. (continue)
