Simon went on to great solo stardom and has spent the decades actively touring, recording and maintaining his legacy as an influential figure in folk, rock and pop. But now, Simon could be walking away from it all this summer with a "farewell" show in scheduled for London's Hyde Park.
Billed as "Homeward Bound: The Farewell Performance," the concert is set to take place July 15 with openers Bonnie Raitt and James Taylor. No word yet on if this is indeed Simon's last show but Simon has mulled over retirement before, calling it "an act of courage." Read more

Corgan delivered the news in a retro-looking post that depicted a photo of him from the early '90s before his head resembled an eggshell along with a sprawling caption.
"I share a window (curated as it is) into my crazy life," Corgan wrote after a long preamble. "As an example, we are currently in the studio with Rick Rubin. But unless I show you a picture of Rick sitting Buddha-like at a mixing desk, you probably wouldn't know that."
Last week, Corgan posted a photo of himself sitting next to Pumpkins guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin. In addition, both Corgan and Chamberlin have posted a photo of the same drumkit, implying that are both taking part in the Smashing Pumpkins reunion album. Iha hasn't yet commented on social media and is currently playing in A Perfect Circle. Read more

'The whole reason I'm in this is because I know what happens to a girl if she's sexually abused at 14, sent out on the street to sell crack at 15, her mother has her hook at 16, she's bringing johns home at 17 because she looks older," he told Forbes at the Red Studios in Hollywood event.
'At 18 she's left off at a bus station in Oklahoma, doesn't know where she is or what's going on. She's broken. Now, she, for the rest of her life, has a problem with sex, has a problem with men coming on to her. There are men in America that murder people, they get caught with a gun in their hand they get seven fing years! She gets 70 years. Seventy years of her life has been ruined and that fing kills me. That kills me." Read more

The fan favorite from "Among The Living" is among those featured on the early 2017 tour that saw Anthrax deliver their third album in its entirety alongside a set a classic tracks selected by fans.
"It was a challenge for all of us to play 'Among The Living' live," admits drummer Charlie Benante. "We've played a number of that album's songs in our shows over the years, but not all of them, and playing a song in a recording studio is not the same as playing it live on stage. So we put in a lot of time to get all of the tracks down perfectly. And I'll tell you, after we finished that set, as arduous as it was, we all felt a sense of exhilaration, like we could go out and do it again."
Fans will note that the set's artwork, created by Steve Thompson (Slayer, Motorhead, Iron Maiden), was inspired by KISS' 1976 album, "Rock And Roll Over." Watch the video

The new dates come in addition to a pair of previously announced shows, including an appearance at the In Bloom Music Festival in Houston in late March.
Queens of the Stone Age, Lil Uzi Vert, Incubus and 21 Savage are also set for the Texas fest. See Beck's U.S. tour dates

The special is equal parts a concert film and documentary, with the rocker providing narration and background stories about his life and career throughout the set.
Presenting a mix of new and classic Mellencamp tunes, the film also features a guest appearance by tour mate Carlene Carter. "Plain Spoken" - which peaked at No. 18 on the US Billboard 200 - was the singer's first release under an unprecedented lifetime recording contract with Republic Records.
