Gramm was asked by ABC Radio about the idea of the surviving original members of the band reuniting to mark the anniversary and he responded, "I think it would be terrific. It wouldn't have to be any kind of commitment or anything. Just to honor that anniversary and do something."
The band is currently led by founding Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones and Gramm says that they have not discussed the possibility of an anniversary reunion "I do talk to Mick, periodically. I haven't heard anything about any kind of reunion show or anything." He adds, "Maybe he'll celebrate that 40th anniversary with his own band in his own way. And if so, I'll certainly honor it with my [solo] band too."
Gramm believes that this milestone would be only opportunity for any kind of reunion, saying "if we don't do anything to mark [the anniversary], then we never will." Read the ABC report

Now he tells Hek82: "It was a lot of fun. It was a lot of everything - but that's life. If you're having a lot of everything, you're really living it, and that's what it's about. I wish them well. I wish them all well, I do."
Meanwhile, long-term keyboardist Chris Pitman has apologised publicly for criticizing the reunion project. He posted a message online saying: "This is a nostalgia tour. Please don't mention those who are there the last 20 years, oh God no. A money grab. FU."
He later deleted the comment and tweeted: "I sincerely apologise to GnR, especially the band and crew, for stupid comments about the upcoming tour. Remember kids, don't drink and text!" Read more and watch the full Bumblefoot interview

Bad Company and Walsh will be rotating the headline slot for each stop of the tour which is set to kick off on May 12th in Dallas, Texas and will conclude on July 3rd in Nashville TN on July 3rd.
Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers had this to say about the trek, "I had always hoped that we would do something together and so here we are 30 years later finally touring together.
"It has taken us this long so I wouldn't miss this. Unless you want to wait 30 more years for our next tour in 2046!!! There is only one Joe Walsh, he is such a unique person and an uber talented singer, songwriter and musician."
Walsh adds, "I have a huge amount of respect for Paul of course and the band and we get along great. Paul and I agreed it would be a hell of an evening of music, one that will be memorable for everyone who comes, and memorable for us, and that's important in this day and age."
Bach will be launching the tour on April 27th in Jacksonville, FL at Mavericks and wrapping up the trek on June 3rd in Salt Lake City, UT at The Depot.
The singer had this to say, "'An Evening with Sebastian Bach'. No, that doesn't mean we're going to end up in the back of a police car. It means that for selected shows on the upcoming tour, we want to do something brand-new. Let's bring the music back to its purest form.
"We have been touring a lot in the last few years so it's time to do something different. You're going to get two sets for the price of one. We're going to open up the show with some stripped-down tunes, re-set the stage, and then come back with the Big Guns."
The release of his memoir "18 And Life On Skid Row" has been delayed until June 28th. Bach explains the move, "Pushing the book gives us the opportunity to really finish it properly.
"The publishers asked me for 30 pictures. I gave them 150. There are easy ways to do memoirs, simple ways to do biographies. What separates these books is the archival content. '18 and LIFE on Skid Row' could also be called the Skid Row Archives.
"I am giving you my personal collection, photos, & documents none of you have ever seen. A lot of them. I look forward to the book release and the book tour following the book release.
"If I am going to go on a tour of book stores, I have to really be into the book. June 28th release date gives us an extra month to pay attention to detail. In a project of this scope there are many details."

The guitarist, who was replaced by Richie Faulkner when he left Judas Priest in 2011 after 41 years with the band, previously said it was unlikely a reunion would ever happen.
But he says he'd like to reunite with his former bandmates - but only under certain circumstances. He tells Blastecho: "Obviously they have Richie there. Maiden has done the three-guitar player thing, but I don't think there's room for an extra guitar player in Priest. Priest has always been a two-guitar band so I can't see that working. We'll have to see what happens next."
"The tour would be something I would have to be part of - only because I'd like to see the greatest heavy metal tour happen, because it's never happened. And it's never gonna happen. Unfortunately, that chapter of history won't be there forever, which is kind of sad." Read more

The collection includes Dylan's Blood On The Tracks notebooks, handwritten lyrics to Chimes Of Freedom, Ballad Of A Thin Man and Dignity, along with footage of the singer performing in Toronto's Massey Hall in 1980, New York's Supper Club in 1993 and rehearsing for the 1975 Rolling Thunder Revue. His manuscript for book Tarantula is also included.
The archive was originally estimated at $60m, according to the New York Times. Dylan says: "I'm glad that my archives, which have been collected all these years, have finally found a home and are to be included with the works of Woody Guthrie and especially alongside all the valuable artifacts from the Native American Nations. To me it makes a lot of sense and it's a great honor." Read more

In mid-February, Perry spoke with USA Today, and shared that he wasn't digging Tyler's country vibes. 'Hey, if I didn't know him when I heard the song I'd go, 'It's okay, next,'" he said.
TMZ caught Tyler deplaning at LAX, and shared Perry's comments with the singer. Tyler took it all in stride. "[That's] how they are," he responded. "That's why I'm doing a country record. It's all right. You know what? Jealousy runs deep in this family." Read more and watch the video below:

He tells KBAD FM: "I want to go on until we're no longer able to function. I look at the Rolling Stones and I still see them bring it every time they go out and play.
"Hell, even if they have to bring their own team of doctors and nurses with them, whatever they need to do, they make it happen - because when you're firing all cylinders and the crowd's with you, there is absolutely no substitute for that feeling. None." Watch the full interview

And frontman Johan Hegg says while they've been happy with Gustafsson's contribution, the group will wait and see how the situation plays out over the coming months.
Hegg tells Metal Sucks (via Blabbermouth): "Instead of looking for a permanent member and then halfway through the writing process feeling like this is not the right guy for us, we decided to work with Tobias so we could focus on the album and get to looking for a permanent member after that.
"Writing with Tobias was awesome. He's such a great guy - very positive attitude and a great drummer. So it was really inspirational to work with him." Read more

They began tracking drums earlier this month for the follow-up to 2013's One Of Us Is The Killer - and the vocalist reports that what they've come up with so far is "weirder" and less melodic than recent releases.
Puciato tells Metal Wani: "So far it's a lot weirder to me than the other stuff that we've done - it's a lot less accessible which I'm sure may be a shock to people.
"Obviously we've got a lot more melodic over the years. As of right now it's pretty weird. I don't know if I would use the word aggressive - it's just really a change. I honestly don't really know how to describe it."
He reports the band are approaching album sessions in a way in which they haven't done before and plan to record tracks in batches rather than do everything at the same time.
Puciato continues: "We've always had the album written and then recorded it and put it out. I think this time we might record a batch of songs and then set them aside and then go in later and record another batch and se what comes from that. Maybe we end up throwing something out. I'm interested to see what would happen if we record more than we need." Read more

King tells RVAMag: "We definitely thought about not releasing new music any more. Maybe doing what Down did, and release four songs before every tour. But really, until the time comes that albums are obsolete, you better believe Slayer's going to be making records."
He accepts that his band are living on their past legacy to an extent. "But so is everyone else - yet we're the ones trying to push ourselves forward." Read more

How The Years Condemn is lifted from Napalm Death's 15th studio album, Apex Predator - Easy Meat. Bassist Shane Embury previously said of the track: "Musically I wanted this track to encompass lots of different rhythms and nuances in the short space of time which the song occupies.
"Lyrically, it's a departure from the rest of the new album as it's self-reflective. A couple of years ago I was hospitalised prior to a very important tour and was forced to miss out on going and had to stay at home.
"I really had to make a choice which was either to carry on down the same path of selfish destruction as I had seen some of my friends embark on or stay around for the people I loved and who loved me." Watch the video

And when asked if he's surprised at their continued popularity and ability to sell out stadiums, Ament reports that he often has to pinch himself when hitting the stage after an extended break.
He tells Rolling Stone: "After a while, I actually forget that I'm in this big band, so I'm always humbled and shocked when things like that happen. It's never not a surprise. It's always exciting to be on tour. You're in a nice hotel. You show up at the gig and the amps sound great.
"A lot of our crew has been with us for 15 to 25 years and they do a great job. It feels like, 'Wow, this is what I do.' That happens every time after we haven't toured in a while.
"That said, a lot of times I dread it leading up to it. I'm like, 'I don't wanna leave home. I'm gonna miss my wife. I'm gonna miss my dogs. I'm gonna miss painting in my art room and the little routine that I have.' And then once you're out there, you're like, 'Wow, this is crazy. This is a crazy life that we have.'" Read more

Tomasz 'Orion' Wroblewski tells FreqsTV: "It's important to bring out merchandise to the people. They know they can buy some unique stuff at the shows which is much appreciated, because this goes directly to us.
"But some venues have started charging bands for selling their merchandise, which causes bands' rising prices of the merchandise. Three nights ago, I was counting everything that we need to leave in the venue - it was 42% altogether. This is becoming a bad trend. It's becoming like a Mafia. People should be able to get what they want for the prices that are fair." Read more

The band say: "Leprous has existed for almost 15 years, and have gone from being a completely unknown youth band from Notodden, Norway, to being a recognised name within the progressive metal scene.
"For quite a lot of years we've played with the thought of doing a live video and audio recording, but there have always been aspects of our live show we thought we could improve. In addition, the budget always seemed unrealistic. Now we have a show we're very proud of and we wish to eternalise it.
"Making a live recording is very expensive, especially if you want to do it properly. Therefore, we're reaching out to you, to help us realise this dream." Read more and see the funding appeal video

The former Pain Of Salvation bassist launches the work in April, following his one-man solo debut Rust in 2012. His latest promo introduces the band members and guests who perform alongside him on the follow-up.

Creeper join previously announced artists including Sikth, Ginger Wildheart, Young Guns, InMe and New years Day. Organizer Chris McCormack said of the 2016 bill:

"The Priest is back!," says the band. "Bringing you molten metal mayhem captured live, we're coming at you in full force on 'Battle Cry'. This is Priest burning up and delivering the goods for all our metalheads around the world like never before - so hold tight and turn it up as we roar you through a night of screaming heavy-metal magic keeping the faith alive!"
Due March 25, the set captures the UK metal vets live at Germany's Wacken Festival last summer in front of an audience of 85,000 while on tour in support of 2014's "Redeemer Of Souls."
"Battle Cry" will be available on a 15-track CD, with the entire show on Blu-ray and DVD (running over 94 minutes), as well as digital audio and video formats.
The DVD and Blu-ray also contains three bonus tracks shot in Poland on December 10, 2015 at The Ergo Arena, Gdansk, Poland. Watch the video

After the event, Young told Rolling Stone that "It's like nothing that I've done. It's more like a giant radio show. It has no stops. The songs are too long for iTunes, thank God, so they won't be on iTunes. I'm making it available in the formats that can handle it."
He says the album is "Like a live show, but it's not like a live show. Imagine it's a live show where the audience is full of every living thing on earth -- all of the animals and insects and amphibians and birds and everybody -- we're all represented. And also they overtake the music once in a while and play the instruments. It's not conventional but it is based on live performance." Read more

They also plan to host Japanese acts Haco, Nippon Eldorado Kabarett, Cicala Mvta and Half The Sky. The RIO movement originated in the 70s after a collection of prog acts lead by band Henry Cow slammed the industry for refusing to recognise their music. Organisers hosted the first official RIO festival in 2007, but management now say "the future of Rock in Opposition is at stake."
"We really need you so that this edition of 2016 takes place in the best conditions and that this unique festival continues to stage the fabulous artists who have been guests since 2007." Read more

He says: "As a professional, working musician in the business for over 20 years, I have a background as a songwriter, band leader and producer. It's a history that's given me a unique perspective that I want to share with both students and working musicians who are looking for mentoring, education and practical skills."
"Lessons can cover a variety of topics - strict focus on guitar technique, soloing, how to approach the instrument organically as an extension of yourself, songwriting, melodic construction and arrangement, production ideas, finding the song and creative input with your own writing process."
