Radio.com spoke with former Guns bassist Duff McKagan--currently of a band called Walking Papers--and asked him about the controversy. He's denying it. Completely.
"A friend of mine just sent me that video," he says, which plays excerpts of both songs. "It is pretty stunning," he admits. However, he is quick to add, "But we didn't steal it from them! I swear [puts his hand on his heart], I never heard that song until a couple of days ago."
But, McKagan says, he's kind of puzzled as to why, two-and-a-half decades later, the allegations are just coming to light: "How is that [information] just coming out now?" Read more

"I was hallucinating," he said. "I drove around the United States for a month, following an angel that I saw on the hood of my car." Stapp made headlines back in November when he released a YouTube video saying he was broke and homeless, living out of his car, which led his wife to have him institutionalized. A month later, a call to 911 from his wife was released, in which she claims Stapp believed he was part of the CIA and had made potential threats to assassinate President Obama.
Stapp says, "In my delusional thinking, I thought my family was involved in ISIS, and that millions of dollars had been taken from me to support terrorism. All of it was nonsense. I was out of my mind."
Stapp says he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after hitting rock bottom, and though it was hard to process, he says it finally gave him an answer to what was going on. Read more

In their 18 track-deep set, the band put their stamp on iconic songs ranging from AC/DC's "Let There Be Rock" to Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69," The Knack's "My Sharona," The Rolling Stones' "Miss You," Queen and David Bowie's "Under Pressure" and Alice Cooper's "School's Out," to name a handful.
If the event sounds like something that could only happen in the Los Angeles area, that's probably because it's true: Grohl has been living in the West Coast city while the band takes a break from their Sonic Highways world tour. Check out the setlist

"The first day in the studio I recorded a song that became my first single," says the singer, "and if 'Love is Your Name', then Nashville's my new girlfriend. I guess you could call that Beginner's Luck."
The rocker announced his intent to record a country album during a Twitter Q&A last October. "Country, to me, has always been oversimplified, by an accent, a truck, cowboy boots, a dirt road, a back porch," Tyler tells USA Today. "But I think it's more about freedom and pride and hard work and the girl. And knowing everybody's first name in town, you know? There were 1,200 people in my town when I grew up. That, to me, is country."
Tyler will join Aerosmith for the Blue Army Tour, with summer dates set to start June 13 in Glendale, Arizona.after that, he'll return to Nashville to work on his debut solo album.
"I've got to find time to come back and record these songs after the Aerosmith tour," he adds. "But I flit from flower to flower, country to country, looking for good times and singing about the last time. That's what I'm putting into the country songs." Stream the new song

The tour is scheduled to kick off on July 7th in Laredo, TX at the Laredo Energy Center and will conclude on August 22nd in Kettering, OH at the Fraze Pavilion.
3 Doors Down are also working on their follow-up to 2011's Time of My Life. "We can't wait to get some of these new songs we've been playing live put to tape," frontman Brad Arnold said in a statement. "This is shaping up to be our best album yet!" Check out the tour dates

The new video was filmed in the suitably metal location of a jet-engine testing hangar a former US military base near Ipswich. Speaking to Metal Hammer about the video, frontman Dani Filth says:
The video is a "realised phantasmagoria of horror and hell-bound heartistry, fully encapsulating the beautality of the first single from Hammer Of The Witches, and if my flagrant play-on-words doesn't pique your interest, then the fact that it features a renowned rope bondage queen and the band in full swing just possibly might." Shaw tells Ultimate Classic Rock: "I'm writing some stuff for what will be more like an Americana solo album. We're also working on some new Styx music - just taking our time with it. We've always been creating a little stuff. We don't really have any plans to release an album, but there's stuff in the works."
They recently played a series of symphonic shows in Nashville where they teamed up again with conductor Liza Grossman. She was involved with the band's One With Everything: Styx And The Contemporary Youth Orchestra in 2006. And they were "mind-blowing" experiences Shaw hopes to repeat.
He continues: "We've gotten a bunch of offers already to do some more symphony shows, so maybe next year and 2017 we'll do some special event symphony shows." Read more

Schon explains: "I've always aspired to be a better player and push musical boundaries. This album is really me - all based on my guitar, which is my voice.
"There's an old blues saying - 'If you're thinkin'you're stinkin.' When you stop thinking and just play from the heart, you discover your voice. That's the real thing, and that's what Vortex is about for me." Read more and grab the download link

Allen died of cancer in March, aged 77. Before his passing he sent a message to the latest incarnation of his band, saying: "I am 100% behind you and I wish you huge success in every way you decide to measure that success. The band say in a statement: "When it became clear that Daevid wouldn't tour again, we all decided it was imperative that Gong continued. It was Daevid's passionate wish.

"Directed by Henry Shepherd," explains guitarist Kim Thayil, "the work has otherwise never been available, or shown since, until now. Those who were in attendance, and attentive to the intro at a Soundgarden concert during this tour have been the only ones fortunate enough to view and hear 'Night Surf.'
"The song had never been released before, and now it is newly remastered for the 'Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across the Path' box set collection of non-album tracks, and rarities.
"The film had been buried in storage," adds the guitarist, "and only recently was it located, dusted off, and remastered for its debut here, online, or anywhere after 21 years!"

There are a lot of stories behind the release of Chain Reaction, about the writing process, video shooting etc etc... Since the first demos of this song we thought about putting a guest vocal on it and we immediately consider Cristian from Ill Nino. We are friends with those guys and we toured a lot together, so we felt honored.
I've personally wrote to Cristian without any particular expectation about his answer, but he was super excited to do it. So we recorded the first version of the song and meet the guys during their Italian show. We listened to the song together and everyone were so happy.
Cris recorded his vocal parts at his studio and they sound incredible. I was shaking while I've heard it the first time. Super stoked. We've shoot the video during November 2014.
It was a very cold night and we recorded all the playback parts in only ONE NIGHT! While some of us were recording, the others were sleeping in the van. From midnight till 9am. Endless process haha. The video looks amazing.
We didn't wanted that Cris' parts were recorded in a different location so the director Matteo Di Gioia had the idea to represent him as a ghost moving around us, all hand-drawn. It looks sick!
Even Cristian was so happy about everything. Everyone had so much fun and we'd put everything on this song!
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album
