Nachtmystium, Marduk, Mantic Ritual, Merrimack and Black Anvil Plot U.S. Plague Tour |
This vicious, uncompromising quartet, led by mastermind Blake Judd are currently working on material for Black Meddle Part II and will soon embark on the highly anticipated "U.S. Plague Tour" featuring the Swedish black metal legends Marduk along with Mantic Ritual, Merrimack and Black Anvil. The fall trek kicks off on Nov. 20th and runs through Dec. 16th
Judd further describes his excitement over this upcoming tour: "We're honored to announce our upcoming tour supporting Swedish black metal legends Marduk. It's an honor to be going out with this band we've all been listening to for years and to be getting back on the road after a rocky year between canceled tours and festivals due to injuries and other unfortunate circumstances. We're currently working on material for Black Meddle Part II (official title TBA) and will be doing a demoing pre-production session with Sanford Parker in October. The new material is reminiscent of Assassins with more of a rock and roll edge over all. Our love for post rock and industrial (ala Ministry, Killing Joke, etc) is even more present this time around. We're hoping to make a record that will continue to push extreme music into uncharted territories. Recording for the new record will begin in early January and we project to have the record out in March or April. We hope to see you all soon."

Crossbreed Album and Tour Coming |
"You would figure after the collapse of Artemis Records, and replacing 4 of the 6 original members would have done this band, but we have so many more people to piss off before this show can be over," says frontman James Breed. "This album is the culmination of blood, sweat and tears for us and I know people have been waiting for a long time for us to release this album. We can't wait to hear people's reactions to the new material and hope to see everybody out at these upcoming shows we have coming up in Florida later in the month."
Now signed to Driven Music Group, Crossbreed is ready to take their brand of sonic destruction to new heights. The group's new album, "KE 101", takes the slamming amalgamation of techno pulses and trademark grinding guitars Crossbreed is known for and melds it with infectious songwriting.

High On Fire Begin Work On New Album |
Universally recognized as one of the most potent acts in music today, High On Fire creates "bad-ass" modern metal that merges primal fury and aggression, skyscraping riff explosions and hesher bombast with a monolithic heaviness. Described as "a supersonic exercise in conquest by volume and sheer heaviness," High On Fire has burned the hard rock rulebook since its formation in 1998, forging a style and sound that is both unique and absolutely crushing. The group features vocalist and cult guitar hero Matt Pike, powerhouse drummer Des Kensel and bassist Jeff Matz. Pike, a founding member of the famed underground band Sleep and one of heavy music's most charismatic figures was named as one of Rolling Stone's "New Guitar Gods."
"Pre-production on the new record went great!" states High On Fire drummer Des Kensel. "It really gave us the chance to make some last minute adjustments before we started tracking. We've never been able to do that before and know this will make a huge difference overall. We can't believe the way everything has fallen into place for this record! Hopefully our fans will be excited as we are once they hear the new material."

The anti-Emo group Perfuma Set Debut |
"Save Yrself" is the follow-up to their 2005 highly acclaimed EP "Humans are Dangerous". The album is a refined and atypical take on modern rock that has gained them their enduring fan base and has grown them from New Jersey anonymous to media darlings.
Perfuma has toured the United States three times and have shared the stage with such names as Armor For Sleep, The Junior Varsity, TheSTART, and have even performed a full tour with Farwell. In addition to their touring,
Perfuma has played at two Bamboozle Festivals, the 2008 CMJ Festival, and the record release party for Sonic Youth's 2006 album "Rather Ripped".
Even More Red Eye for the Gwar Guy |
His prior five appearances have went so well in fact that "Red Eye" has given Oderus the opportunity to have more airtime by being a member of the panel for an entire show.
Mr. Urungus had the following to say about this recent development: "The media juggernaut that is the mighty GWAR marches relentlessly forward! I, ODERUS URUNGUS, shall be appearing on FOX News Red Eye for the 6th freaking time, on Wednesday, Sep. 2nd! And what's even better--I shall be on the show for the entire hour-long episode, or until I eat the other guests, whatever comes first. And they say FOX is a conservative network...if it took a conservative network to get Oderus on TV then I say we need more conservative networks!"
Devendra Banhart Eyes Fall Release |
The basic recording line-up- with Banhart on vocals and guitar; Noah Georgeson (producer of Banhart's last two albums, Little Joy, Bert Jansch and Joanna Newsom) on guitar and backing vocals, Greg Rogove (Priestbird) on drums and backing vocals; Luckey Remington (The Pleased) on bass and vocals and Rodrigo Amarante (Los Hermanos, Little Joy) on guitar and backing vocals- also included all the musicians involved played a part in arranging the songs recorded.
What Will We Be has a sunny, breezy feel with performances that evoke warm, lazy afternoons spent with good friends. The album is dominated by powerfully melodic, mid-tempo numbers played with relaxed expertise. But there's also ambitious stylistic range displayed with the inclusion of evanescent ballads like "Meet Me At Lookout Point," the epic riff-rocker "Rats" sprightly R&B flavored groovers on "Baby," and the sultry Latin-flavored stunner "Brindo," the Roxy-inspired "16th & Valencia, Roxy Music" among other pleasant surprises.

Jack Savoretti Sets Digital Release |
Savoretti's music has been described as having a "raw, soulful, yearning edge" (Daily Telegraph) and Burn Magazine notes "Not since Simon & Garfunkel has a gifted songwriter captured the fragility of the human condition so eloquently."
At just 25 years old, Jack Savoretti is something special: strikingly handsome, his sinuous, emotive voice synthesizes with his fluid, inventive guitar playing such that you can hardly tell where one begins and the other ends.
