Free Energy Shuffle Tour Plans in the Wake of The Rakes Breakup
PR reports: A Note From Free Energy: We are sad to announce that the tour that Free Energy had planned on starting with the Rakes next week has been cancelled. The simple reason is that the Rakes broke up.

We're bummed that we won't be able to come out West in November, but a new country-wide tour is in the works for the early part of the new year, so it won't be long.

Luckily, we have been able to hold on to the Boston date (which will now be a Free Energy show) and keep in the dates from Dallas-Philly in late November. There is a new NYC date announced as well - here

Big Names Celebrate Greenwich Village
PR reports: 429 Records has brought together a stellar roster of artists for a project titled "The Village: A Celebration Of The Music Of Greenwich Village"a musical homage to an influential scene that thrived during an incomparable era in the history of rock music.

The Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City in the 1960's was ground zero for a musical evolution as singers like Peter Seeger, Bob Dylan and Odetta were hanging out and composing fierce and fearless songs that reflected the social conscience of a generation. The neighborhood was symbolic of a shared inspiration with artists worldwide gravitating to the vibrant streets and clubs and as such helped change the course of popular music.

With THE VILLAGE, modern day artists look back and pay tribute to the artists and songs that helped nurture and shape them as successful musicians in their own right. Shelby Lynne gives a musical shout out to Dylan with her version of "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright," Cowboy Junkies perform their heartbreaking version of Tim Buckley's "Once I Was" and Bruce Hornsby checks in with a stunning version of The Lovin' Spoonful's "Darlin' Be Home Soon." THE VILLAGE: A CELEBRATION OF THE MUSIC OF GREENWICH VILLAGE will be released worldwide on November 3rd on 429 Records. - more on this story

Infusion Set New Album Release
PR reports: Australia's Infusion set to release their brand new album All Night Sun Light, on December 15. The effort was mixed by James Brown (co-producer to Alan Moulder / Trent Reznor) and recorded at Phillip Glass' Looking Glass Studios.

Here is some background info: For over a decade Australian trio Infusion - Manny Sharrad, Frank Xavier and Jamie Stevens - have expanded minds, built bridges and been adorned with affection from Wollongong to Williamsburg and back with their uniquely placeless, always evolutionary approach to creating truly futuristic transcendental dance music.

Just when it feels like there are no more avenues for an act of Infusion's pedigree to go down, they've flipped and gone down one you never expected but always wanted them to take the modern pop superhighway. All Night Sun Light (Omnis Recordings) achieves where so many other attempts at dance pop fails authenticity. Infusion's always dabbled in a unique blend of dance and pop but it's fully realized over these 11 shimmering displays of machine pop created in the dark world of strobes and sweat.
