Transfer On the Road In Support of Future Selves |
Earlier this year, the band secluded themselves in their studio for a month to write the record. Tucked away in the canyons in North San Diego among the influence of coyote howls and cricket bows, they created a collection of songs with poignant and chilling lyrics and sounds broad enough in range to deem undeniable.
While exhibiting all the grandeur of British rock, yet rooted in the gritty allure of the American west, TRANSFER beseeches personal discovery. You can either experience TRANSFER by being fully immersed within a good pair of headphones, or, preferably, get caught up in the intensity of their unusually captivating and dynamic live performance. With the impending release of their digital-only second full-length release, Future Selves, TRANSFER stands poised to win over unsuspecting listeners and to elicit praise for its remarkably savvy take on the art of rock music.

Last November Set New EP Release |
"tug o' war!" is currently in production at Southern Tracks Studios in Atlanta, and follows up the band's hit sophomore album "Over the Top or Under the Weather," which was released in the spring of 2008. The album featured the single "Seventeen at Three in the Morning" which was dubbed "the teen anthem of 2009" by numerous teen publications, while receiving radio airplay on over 200 radio stations across the nation, with numbers still growing daily.
Lead singer and guitarist Luke Pilgrim edited and directed the music video for "Julie" demonstrating not only his talent in music, but his talent in production as well. While on their summer 2009 tour, the band stumbled upon the little desert town of Ludlow, CA off the Historic Route 66 where on a spur of the moment, they decided to shoot the video.

Rise Snag Legend |
Sangre Degrado Debut |
The name may have changed, but the accolades laid at the feet of Hell at Night still apply to Sangre Degrado, "for what they do really ----ing well: synthesize a lifetime spent listening (I'm imagining here) to U2, and then to grunge, and then to the Pixies, and on to the White Stripes, Interpol and the Arcade Fire into a crude, raw cyst of noise and pop and screams thats more developed and different and worthy of praise than much of what the ironic-band-T-shirt-wearing community routinely churns out." (from The OC Weekly)
Sangre Degrado began when twin brothers Dan and Nart Chejoka sent demos of their first few songs as Hell at Night around to friends. One of those friends, former Lidsville frontman Greg Johnson, secretly added bass guitar and backing vocals to the tracks, and the resulting sound was so good that Johnson quickly became a full-fleged member.

Danny Kalb Gets Major Backing |
The album was released earlier this year by Sojourn and quickly garnered a mass of glowing press notices. I'm Gonna Live The Life I Sing About will now be available through variety of easily accessible outlets including Borders, Best Buy, J&R Music World, Barnes & Nobles and Amazon.com
Kalb says the new album "Is the record I always wanted to make" and marks his debut on Sojourn Records. I'm Gonna Live The Life I Sing About was produced by Mark Ambrosino and recorded at The Madhouse in Queens, NY featuring Kalb performing in both electric and acoustic trio settings. The bulk of these performances were captured in 2006 through 2007 but other tracks are gems that Kalb has been stockpiling since the late 1990's, plucked from relaxed periodic sessions with his various live line-ups. Kalb's playing throughout is dazzling, yet understated, no-nonsense yet deeply emotional -- the work of an undisputed Old Master.

Orphaned Land Announce Tracklisting |
Mixed by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Opeth), who is also responsible for several keyboard parts on the new album, The Never Ending Way of ORwarriOR turns out to be a sophisticated concept album taking ORPHANED LAND's unique brand of exotic, heavy music to soaring new heights in terms of complexity and catchiness. It is an audible manifest that the time has come for Middle Eastern metal to take over!
Vocalist Kobi Farhi comments on the album's concept and the striking new promo photo as follows: "First of all, I wish to thank each and every one of you for all the comments you left for our new band photo. The comments were from Jews, Christians and Muslims as one, you all know that this unification is what we're all about - here is the tracklist for our new album, as you can see it's long and it's a three chapter story that is waiting for you. We salute you all!"
