Marilyn Manson Snuff Film Fantasy Masquerading As A Video |
The clip for Running To The Edge Of The World is mostly a webcam style shot of Manson mourning in anguish into his drapes, but then at the end, we're led into a room where Manson is seen violently beating an eventually naked caricature of ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood. To death. The clip is totally safe for work, as long as you're unemployed.
In a Q&A with TIME, Manson said: "I've lost friends. I've lost love. I've lost money. And this record is really about loss. The last album had a lot of romantic, Shakespearean ideals attached to the music, like 'The world doesn't understand us. Let's die together.' Now? This record is more about, 'If you say you'll be with me until I die and then you change your mind, you should run very fast. Because I'll kill you.'"

MTV Walls Off Free U2 Berlin Show |
But at least MTV's excuse is better than the East Germans who erected the first wall because they were just trying to keep out all of the greedy capitalist from trying to avail themselves to the joys of communism. This time it was for "safety" reasons, according the Associated Press. Watch, they'll next try and play it off as being intentional and meant to be symbolic.
Here is part of the AP report: U2 returned to Berlin for a free mini-concert Thursday in front of the Brandenburg Gate, but the show was obscured from public view by a nearly 6-1/2-foot (two-meter) high metal barrier. "It's completely ridiculous that they are blocking the view," said Louis-Pierre Boily, 23, who came to Berlin even though he failed to get U2 tickets. "I thought it's a free show, but MTV probably wants people to watch it on TV to get their ratings up."

Singled Out: Paul McCartney |
It was three great nights for the band and for me personally it was very exciting to be back opening a new stadium on the site of the old Shea Stadium where we had played 44 years previously. Even more exciting because this time round you could hear us!
Having opened Shea for music with The Beatles and closed it with Billy Joel, it was my pleasure and honour to be asked to open the new one. Over three nights we filmed the show. It has now been put together in the form of "Good Evening New York City" my latest CD/DVD, and I think you might like to check it out.
If you head over to Paul's site right now you can get a free video of "Highway" and a free MP3 of "Let Me Roll It" (email required). They also have a preorder special going with an additional instant download. You can grab all the details and get the free vid and MP3
