I Love You, Beth Cooper Soundtrack Announced |
The soundtrack album features an eclectic collection of contemporary and classic recordings including music from Gym Class Heroes, The Hives, OK Go, The Perishers, The Kooks, Airbourne as well as KISS, Alice Cooper, Foreigner and Smokey Robinson. The soundtrack's songs play an integral role in the film's narrative, perfectly interwoven throughout to reflect I Love You, Beth Cooper's fun, action and emotion.
Music heard on the ABKCO soundtrack sets off the story, which chronicles the story of a nerdy valedictorian who proclaims his love for the hottest and most popular girl in school Beth Cooper during his graduation speech. Much to his surprise, Beth shows up at his door that very night and decides to show him the best night of his life. "Heroes'" Hayden Panettiere is the high-school hottie and Paul Rust portrays the love-struck dork.
Behemoth Explain Their New Album Art |
"Evangelion combines a pure art form with a direct message. It was also important for us to ensure that the graphical presentation did justice to the record. Again, we have worked with Tomasz Danilowicz who has created his best illustration yet for Behemoth. The picture is of The Great Harlot of Babylon riding the seven-headed beast. Saints bow before her in worship whilst the tablets of the Ten Commandments lie broken at her feet. It represents our vision and the interpretation of the New Testament parable where the "Whore of Babylon" is a symbol of rebellion and resistance against God. I am fascinated by stories whose source lies in the Bible and we have used biblical symbolism, coupled with my own experience and outlook, in our lyrics or on the covers of previous Behemoth records. I love to juggle with meanings and play around with symbolism which is exactly what I have done in this case. The main character of our new cover is an archetype of disobedience, individualism, self-determination and a free, unfettered will these are universal keywords which are typical and crucial in understanding the character of our works, life as a whole and the true nature of man." Commented Nergal.

Here Come The Astrid Williamson Vikings |
Here Come The Vikings is a 10-song collection that veers across rock and pop. Departing from her previous, softer solo sets that Maxim called "a deep, bewitching brew," this new album has its foundations in the electric guitar. "Every album I've made has tended to fall outside of current musical trends," explains Williamson. "I was losing 10 BPM every album, so I thought I'd plug in and sort things out."
Williamson, a multi-instrumentalist and classically trained pianist, writes, produces and arranges everything she records. Here Come The Vikings features longtime collaborators Richard Yale on bass, Christian Parsons on drums, Mark Treffel on keyboards and the new addition of guitarist Steven Parker. Guest appearances include Nick Powell from Oskar, Belle and Sebastian cellist Sarah Wilson and trumpeter Guy Barker, who has played with Frank Sinatra and Nile Rogers.
