Singled Out: J.R. Richards (Dishwalla) Pt II
antiMusic reports: J.R. Richards made a name for himself fronting Dishwalla but this week he takes it a step further as he releases his new solo album, "A Beautiful End," exclusively at iTunes (everywhere else later this month). Normally we ask the artist to tell us about just one song but we've waiting a long time for this album, so to celebrate we asked J.R. to pick some of his favorite songs from the album and tell us a little bit about each one. We'll be bringing you different song stories throughout the month. Here is J.R. with today's song "Ghost of Sorrow":

So much of the theme of this record was inspired by loss and healing. I unfortunately had many friends and family members pass away right before and during the writing of this record and it was hard to write with out those things on my mind. Dealing with loss was something new for me and because writing has always been my out lit for both joy and in this case sadness.

The ghost in "Ghost of Sorrow" is that sadness coming to visit me late in the night. And after being face to face with it, I deciding I would no longer fear it.
