Metal Guitarist Arrested For God Mocking T-Shirt
Blabbermouth reports: Alistair Baptista of Gulf Daily News reports that police arrested the guitarist of Bahrain-based extreme metal band The Mushroom Massacre at a rock concert in Bahrain Thursday (April 30), bringing it to an abrupt halt and angering scores of fans.

Organizers halted the "Rage to the Extreme" show at the Palace hotel, Adliya, immediately after the arrest. Sources said the Sri Lankan was apparently arrested because he was wearing a T-shirt bearing a caricature of a "devilish" figure and the slogan "God's Busy...Can I Help You?"

They said the guitarist was taken to a police station where he had his shirt and body piercings photographed. "Someone just came on stage and said the show was over, after that there were two breaks for prayer," said concert-goer Yasir Shehzad. - more on this story

These are tracks that have been tossed aside 'cause 7"s and compilations didn't come out ever/yet, demos that ended up quite different from the originals but may not have been heard, some ---- that's just kinda hard to find, the first ever live studio recording and in one case, sweet introduction music that never hit the enormous PA that it was meant to. Another Ex-Gunner Says Axl Shouldn't Use Guns N' Roses Name
antiMusic reports: Another former member of Guns N' Roses has spoken out against Axl Rose carrying on the band under the famed moniker. A couple of weeks ago Steven Adler said that Axl should have released "Chinese Democracy" under the band name W.A.R. (W. Axl Rose) and not Guns N' Roses and now Adler's replacement in the group says that Axl shouldn't be using the name since the group lacks some of core original members.

"I'm not saying I'm an original member, okay, but I understand the core of the band, which is Slash and Duff and probably Izzy," former GNR drummer Matt Sorum said according to a Blabbermouth.net report.

"It's a shame, and you know what, this goes back to a Paul McCartney thing. Does he call himself The Beatles? Not saying we were as big as The Beatles, but does Sting call himself The Police? No. Does Jimmy Page and Robert Plant go out there calling themselves Led Zeppelin? Nope." - more on this story

Tremonti Talks Creed Reunion
MusicRadar reports: "Being back in Creed is the last thing I would have expected," guitarist Mark Tremonti told MusicRadar in an exclusive interview. "But all things for a reason, and there must be a reason why we've all come back together right now."

Tremonti had been planning on cutting a new record with Alter Bridge, the band he formed with fellow ex-Creed mates, drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall (along with singer Myles Kennedy), but a change in the group's management resulted in a sit-down with estranged ex-Creed singer Scott Stapp (all are repped by Irving Azoff's Front Line Management)."Before you knew it, we were all there in a room with Scott, and things progressed very naturally from there," says Tremonti.

The guitarist, who says he hadn't spoken to Stapp in the six years since Creed broke up, describes himself as "surprised as hell" at Scott's new attitude towards music and life in general. "He realizes how truly important Creed was to him. Not just as a monetary enterprise, but as a band " Mark Tremonti on singer Scott Stapp - A lot more
