Reality Star Sues Sharon Osbourne |
The incident, which was screened on VH1 in the US in January, shows Osbourne exchanging insults with Megan Hauserman before she poured a drink over her.
According to Los Angeles court papers, Ms Hauserman claims Osbourne, 56, hit her, pulled her hair and scratched her. The 27-year-old is seeking a jury trial and punitive damages.

U2 Street Now Has a Name as Three Night Live Radio Broadcast Announced |
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has temporarily renamed part of 53rd street in Midtown Manhattan to honor the release of U2's new album and their week long residency on the David Letterman show. The renamed section is between Broadway and 8th Avenue will be known as U2 Way for the next week.
In other news, "In celebration of the release of No Line On The Horizon U2 will participate in an unprecedented radio broadcast event produced by FMQB Productions. U2 3 Nights Live places the band in three cities for three mutually exclusive radio broadcasts for three consecutive nights."

Beginning today, fans can go to www.pearljamtengame.com and complete a puzzle to unlock various songs from the Ten reissues. With every row a user gets aligned, a new song is unlocked for them to hear.
Upon completion of the entire puzzle, the user unlocks a special video piece detailing the history of this historic release. Users can time themselves completing the puzzle, and challenge their friends through the 'share' feature. The site also allows users to preview each of the four reissue packages.

"I sat there myself and downloaded [Metallica's latest CD] 'Death Magnetic' [illegally] from the Internet just to try it," he told Eddie Trunk of VH1 Classic's series "That Metal Show".
"I was like, 'Wow, this is how it works.' I figured if there is anybody that has a right to download 'Death Magnetic' for free, it's me. I sat there one night at my house with about six of my friends and a bottle of wine. And what was it called?! [Trying to think of the name of the file-sharing client he used to download the album] We found it � this was like two or three days after ['Death Magnetic'] leaked. I was like, 'You know what? I've gotta try this.' So we sat there, and thirty minutes later, I had 'Death Magnetic' in my computer. It was kind of bizarre."

Eels will release their first new album since 2005's acclaimed Double Blinking Lights And Other Revelations. The new album, Hombre Lobo, set for June 2nd, 2009 on Vagrant Records, features 12 new songs recorded in Eels leader Mark Oliver Everett, aka E's studio in Los Angeles.
On Saturday night Sublime drummer Bud Gaugh, bassist Eric Wilson and a singer known as Rome played a set of classic Sublime turns following Bud's set with his current band Del Mar. Could this be a sign of a full reunion to come? Del Mar's MySpace recapped the show with this, "What really f---ing killed it was SUBLIME reuniting and playing with new singer, Rome. We're f---ing stoked for Bud, Eric and Rome... Bud's still playing with Del Mar, and Sublime doesn't have any firm tour plans or anything YET, but we'll keep you posted on their progress."

Apparently the album leaked out and as often happens when that happens, the powers that be decided that releasing the album a bit earlier than originally planned would be a good idea.
The album is being released digitally next week (Tues in the U.S. - Monday for the rest of the world) and the physical CD will hit shops on March 31st in the U.S. and April 6th everywhere else.

Carlos Dengler produced, stars in, and composed the original score for MY FRIENDS TOLD ME ABOUT YOU. MFTMAY is co-produced by Todd Eckert, producer of award-winning Joy Division biopic, Control, which won the 2007 Cannes award for Best European Feature.
Dengler writes: "Making MY FRIENDS TOLD ME ABOUT YOU was a chance to explore the narrative potential of sound and spectacle. The idea was to achieve the expression of film as a composition, a tone poem of carefully selected cinematic effects and gestures."

"We're thrilled to be opening for Nickelback. It's crazy, a year ago we were playing small bars and clubs around Memphis and now we're touring the country in a bus and will be playing with one of the biggest touring rock bands in arenas," said Saving Abel frontman Jared Weeks.
Saving Abel have been on the road non-stop since the March, 2008 release of their self titled debut from Virgin records and have played with rock heavy weights such as Buckcherry, Avenged Sevenfold, Puddle of Mudd and Shinedown.
