Violet Clark and Black Francis' Grand Duchy Announce Summer Dates |
Featuring 9 tracks, 'Petits Fours' is the joint venture between Clark and Francis, and contains driving bass lines, a healthy dose of synths and some excellent vocals from Clark, alongside Francis' trademark guitar squalls.
The band performed a handful of select West Coast warmup dates last month and now kick off a full US tour. Black Francis shows are also not to be missed, - expect to be treated to him drawing on material from his entire career...

Ben Kweller Late Night |
Kweller is also in LA to perform at the El Rey Theatre. He and his band are in the middle of a June tour that started in Denver, CO, and finishes in his new hometown of Austin, TX.
Kweller says, "Country music was the soundtrack to my life. It's a big part of who I am." Fans that missed out on seeing Kweller on this multi-leg Changing Horses tour, still have a chance to see the him perform the great new songs as well as the classics in this new setting, complete with acoustic guitars, pedal steel and three-part harmonies.

Hot Buttered Rum Set Release and Tour Plans |
The new tracks were produced by singer/songwriter Tim Bluhm (Mother Hips, Skinny Singers), who has also produced The Traditionist, Little Wings and Jackie Greene, at Mission Bells Studios in San Francisco. David Simon Baker (Jack Johnson, E40, ALO) was the engineer on the project.
Limbs Akimbo features Hot Buttered Rum's Bryan Horne on bass; Nat Keefe on guitar; Aaron Redner on fiddle, mandolin and vocals; Erik Yates on banjo, guitar, vocals and woodwinds; and newest member Matt Butler on drums. Special guests include Jackie Greene on keyboards and Zach Gill (Jack Johnson, ALO) on vocals.

Loud Park Festival 09 Adds Lazarus A.D. |
Bassist/vocalist, Jeff Paulick, describes being invited to play as "an unbelievable honor" and the band is unanimous in their excitement about doing a festival of this magnitude this early in their career.
Also confirmed so far for this year's Loud Park also are Poison The Well, Napalm Death, Arch Enemy, Megadeth, Rob Zombie, Slayer and the legendary Judas Priest! Loud Park is scheduled for October 17th and 18th

Maia Sharp Maps Out Tour Plans |
Highlights include shows at The Living Room in New York City (July 16th) and at Los Angeles' Hotel Caf� (August 29th). Echo, Sharp's fourth full-length solo album, will be released on August 11th by Crooked Crown Records, Sharp's own label.
"John Q. Lonely," the album's lead single, was #1 Most Added in its first week at Triple A radio. It can be heard on such influential stations as Sirius/XM Loft, KPRI in San Diego and WYEP in Pittsburgh.

Battle For The Sun is a worldwide triumph with a Top 10 debut in the UK, Australia, and Sweden album charts and Top 10 in most every European territory, including #1 in France, Germany, and Switzerland.
Placebo's fall US tour will be announced in the coming weeks, and meanwhile their first single, "For What It's Worth" is climbing the US alternative rock charts and is already a Top 10 song at 91X in San Diego (also Top 5 phones), WEQX in Albany, KTNI in Denver and many more. The single is in the Top 20 at KROQ, The End in Seattle and Sirius Radio's Alternative Nation among others.
