Kelly Osbourne Arrested |
Zoe Griffin from The Mirror apparently found herself on the wrong end of a Kelly Osbourne fury attack last year. According to reports, Kelly took offence at a column claiming that her fiance Luke Worrall didn't know what an earthquake was and slapped Griffin across the face. We're not making this up, although to be honest we sort of wish we were.
Anyway, as MTV reports, the police have finally got around to arresting Kelly Osbourne for assault: Although authorities wouldn't disclose her name, they released a statement about the incident. "I can confirm that a 24-year-old woman attended a central London police station by appointment at 3 p.m. on January 2 She was arrested for common assault relating to an alleged incident in Soho in the early hours of 29th August 2008

Green Day Done Recording New Music? |
A few days ago another visit to the studio showed the parking spaces were no longer reserved, leaving us to assume that recording is done; though, with no official word from the band, we can't really make any promises.
I decided not to post this information (about where the band was recording) back in November because I'd feel guilty being responsible for dozens of people showing up at the recording studio bothering the guys when they're not looking for much attention. So now while the band stays quiet about their plans, we're trying to read the tea leaves as best we can to know whats coming up.

Joaquin Phoenix Falls Off Stage At Rap Debut |
Phoenix stunned onlookers at a Las Vegas nightclub when he stepped up to the mic and performed three hip-hop numbers. To say things went badly would be a massive understatement.
The retired actor sported an unkempt beard and long hair, danced unsteadily along the catwalk and tried desperately to get the audience to dance. After his impromtu set, Phoenix stalked off the stage - and fell flat into the crowd. Hey - he knows how to make an exit!
- But it looks like he sees that many will view this career move for what it is... a joke
Guitar Hero: Metallica Bonus |
"There's a thick cloud of fear hanging over fans of faux-drumming in games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero: World Tour -- fear inspired by the near-impossible rhythms which will need to be kept when Guitar Hero: Metallica hits store shelves. We're not sure how familiar you guys are with the speed with which Mr. Ulrich is capable of producing percussion, but we assure you, his work will be most unpleasant to attempt to mimic.
"Thankfully, an uncharacteristically useful pre-order bonus from GameStop will give the game's quick-to-act reservers an extra bass drum pedal and input splitter

Singled Out: The Japanese Popstars |
After about 2 years of playing out and gigging, we realised that we had enough tracks to compile an album of our own material. We had written lots of pieces of music and ideas over the last while, we thought "Lets do it, we could put these tunes out as The Japanese Popstars album!". So we set our goals to produce a 12 track long player. The problem was that we had more than 12 tracks. I think it was somewhere around 24 tracks that we had to choose from! So the next job was to agree on the music which we felt best represented what The Japanese Popstars were about.
We wanted something that reflected our live show that we had been so well known for, and built up a following from, over the past two years but we realized that we could not have something so uptempo and in-your-face as an album, because most people would get a little bit bored listening to repetitive beats constantly. So, we decided to give the album a more euphoric and chilled out approach, in particular areas, so to bring down the tempo and feel of the running order. Basically to give the album more texture, contrast and diversity!
The hardest and worst part came next. Which order do we place the tracks? This took about 1 month to finally decide what tracks ran next to each other. No joke, we got very annoyed with each other, some harsh words where said, people cried, ran away and lots of group hugs came about, until we all decided on a track list that we were all happy with. So, were did we get the name for the album? Well.... When we meet people for the first time, one of the questions they always ask us is "Why are you called The Japanese Popstars?". So we thought it would be funny to call the album something that explains that.
So we say "We Just Are".
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album
