Music Game Sales Tank in 09 |
Billboard via Reuters had this to say about the bubble burst: The music-game category raked in $1.4 billion in revenue last year, according to Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter, driven largely by sales of "Rock Band 2" and "Guitar Hero World Tour."
By the time 2009 comes to a close, Pachter expects the category to make half that -- $700 million -- despite such high-profile releases this fall as "The Beatles: Rock Band," "Guitar Hero 5," "DJ Hero" and "Band Hero," not to mention "Guitar Hero: Van Halen," which is due Tuesday (December 22).

2010 Terror Plans |
Vogel further states: "It's crazy to think that at this point TERROR has been around for about eight years. I guess after this year we have been around the world four times, recently adding Hawaii and Southeast Asia to the places we've played. The Atticus tour and the 10 For $10 tour were really wonderful, letting us clearly know that the U.S. is still solidly behind us.
"We are finishing up the year writing for our new LP Keepers Of The Faith. I guess we kind of are a real band at this point as we prepare for our fifth album. Emmure is taking us out again in January and then off to Europe with Madball, Death Before Dishonor and Cruel Hand. Life's good. The true believers remain."

Oh Tall Tree... has been earning the band some of the best reviews of their young career, with USA Today declaring, "...These are simply witty, sturdily built and charming pop/rock tunes that owe their debt to Wilco, The Jayhawks, Ryan Adams, perhaps even My Morning Jacket. That's great company, and these songs should accompany you on summer road trips." Summer is over, but Roman Candle will continue to warm up and keep fans company on these winter dates...
