The Juliana Theory Reuniting For Anniversary Shows |
August 2010 marks the ten-year anniversary of the release of The Juliana Theory's defining and influential sophomore album "Emotion is Dead." With this coming anniversary the band will put speculation to rest and reunite for two shows only to play the entire album from start to finish.
Having not made music together since disbanding shortly after the final show of a European tour in January of 2006, this will be their first time to share a stage again as well as the first time playing the record in its entirety. "There's a few songs off of Emotion is Dead that we've never even played live before so I think it's going to be pretty great to play the whole album in sequence. I'm really looking forward to it," said frontman Brett Detar. "I'm super excited for these shows, not only for us, but its finally the chance for all of our fans to get that last show. And my 2 year old daughter will get to be there this time around too," added guitarist Joshua Fiedler. "We haven't played in the US since 2005 so I think it's going to be pretty great to get back up there together," remarked bassist Chad Alan. As for the impetus behind this reunion, Detar elaborated, "When we broke up it was for real and it still is. We're not into pulling a KISS move getting back together all the time. The thing is, we never played a farewell show. We posted a goodbye blog and that was it. I think it was pretty unfair to our loyal fans and to us too. Now the five of us get to do what we always should have done and say goodbye properly to do right by everyone. It'll be great to share the stage with my brothers again and with the anniversary that just makes the whole thing even better."

Sanctuary and Nevermore's Warrel Dane Sets Solo Band Debut |
This show will encompass material spanning one of metal's most defining and revolutionary vocalist's entire catalogue focusing on his highly anticipated inaugural solo effort, Praises To The War Machine, but will also see him perform a few select Sanctuary tracks for the first time in over a decade. Fans of Nevermore need not worry as some deeper cuts will also see the light for the first time in years.
Matt Wicklund (God Forbid guitarist) states: "On Saturday, December 19th at Studio Seven in Seattle I will be playing the debut show for the WARREL DANE band. I am very excited and honored to be a part of this and to be working with one of my favorite vocalists and long time friends. Willis Mathiasen (drums), Dagna Barrera (bass) and Jonny Smokes (guitar) are all doing a wonderful job and everything is really sounding amazing! We will be playing all of the songs from the record Praises To The War Machine, as well as a couple of old Sanctuary hits and maybe a few other surprises. I encourage everyone that can to come out and rock with us! I'd like to thank Tracy Moody and Nicole Russel at Studio Seven for helping to bring us all together so this can happen. After this event I will be heading back home to New Jersey to continue working on new material with my brothers in God Forbid. We have been coming up with some great tunes and I am really excited to continue working on it!"

Order Of Ennead Finish New Album |
An Examination Of Being was recorded at udio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Mark Lewis (Trivium, Chimaira, All That Remains), who also produced Order Of Ennead's eponymous 2008 self-titled debut.
Order Of Ennead lead guitarist John Li comments: "So what can I say about this new album? In my honest opinion, it's much heavier and darker than our self-titled debut, more cohesive, thematic, melodic, but not completely over the top. In a nutshell, the works. To me, the songs sound totally different than the demos and I was blown away after the songs began to take form. They sound BIG.
