Kayos reports: Eagle Rock Entertainment is proud to release, through its Eagle Eye subsidiary, The Willie Nelson Special Featuring Ray Charles, an incredibly special one-hour concert, on DVD September 22. [Pre-book Order Date September 2, MSRP $11.98].
Performed at the Austin Opry House in 1985, Willie Nelson captivated the crowd with his classic tunes, such as "On The Road Again" and "Always On My Mind" before being joined by special guest Ray Charles. While complimenting each other effortlessly on the six duets the two share, they flawlessly meld country, R&B, blues, and soul. Those tracks, "I Can't Stop Loving You," "Georgia On My Mind," and "Angel Eyes," among others, are testament their unique artistry.
In addition to this exceptional performance, The Willie Nelson Special is interspersed with footage of Nelson's trip to his hometown of Abbott, Texas. These clips of Nelson with family and friends gives the viewer a chance to observe his roots while listening to the distinguished sound these roots helped to produce.

Metal Blade reports: Evergreen Terrace have announced the track listing for their upcoming full length, Almost Home, due out September 29th on Metal Blade Records. "We've always had a lot of pop culture references in our song titles and this record is no exception. Before we even started writing new songs we already have a list of titles from books, movies, and comedians. Half of the song titles on this record are pulled from the lyrics. The others are pop culture references that relate to the lyrical content." Guitarist Josh James said.Splitting the recording process of the album in half, they tracked all the music at Martell Studios and all of the vocals were recorded by Audio Hammer Studios (August Burns Red, Bury Your Dead, Trivium).
Continuing their blistering combination of melodic hardcore and metal, Evergreen Terrace has gone back to their roots for Almost Home. "I think this record will surprise the new listeners as well as have the old ones stoked. I'd say its best described as a good mixture of Burned Alive by Time and Wolfbiker." comments James.

antiMusic reports: Rescue Signals "Indecisions" will be in stores September 22, 2009 but it comes with this interesting back story: What do you do when you're the guitarist for one of the most successful unsigned bands in the Mid- and Southwest, your best friend kills himself, and you realize that the reasons you play music simply aren't enough anymore? The answer: you shake things up and find the difference between what you have and what you really need. Such was the case when Rescue Signals' singer Beau Tyler left the band Upside in the summer of 2006. "I didn't really know what to do next," recalls Tyler. "Should I keep playing music, or should I hang it up? At 21 years old, I knew that quitting wouldn't be the worst mistake I had ever made. I decided that if I was going to stay in the game, it had to be for something more than personal glory."
Tyler stuck to these convictions, and only one year after leaving Upside, he formed Rescue Signals under the following guidelines: to be the most fan-based band on earth; to be a cure, not a cause; and to give people something to believe in.

PR reports: As well as many other secrets found in the world of rock 'n' roll, this one also was destined to be revealed. Metal Mind Productions presents the complete collection of Steeplechase's music which showcases a true legend of the 80's rock era and a band worth remembering forever
The story of Steeplechase begun in 1975, when Kevin Brenner, an agent for the Creative Talent Associates (CTA - one of the largest club and bar scene booking agencies in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut area at that time) came up with the idea of forming a band which would include the most talented local musicians around. Brenner knew exactly who he wanted to have in his project and presented his offer to three musicians drummer Vinny Conigliaro, bassist Bob Held and guitarist Tony Summo. At first Steeplechase was meant to be merely a pop/commercial cover band, playing songs by the Beatles, Elton John and Peter Frampton. They even had two singers at that time, male and female. This formula, however, was soon abandoned, as the group was pretty much tired of the poppy repertoire and wanted to take on a more rock-oriented style. After finding a proper frontman Eli Holland Steeplechase finally went on to write original material, strongly influenced by Bad Company, Led Zeppelin and the guitar legend Jimi Hendrix.
This exclusive re-release brings back Steeplechase's original debut album from 1981 - "Steeplechase". New digipak edition is limited to 2000 copies. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on a golden disc. The release date is set on 7th September in Europe and 6th October in USA (via MVD).
