Doom / underground / metal / classic... I think CANDLEMASS will fit right in!! We will play a very special set 'Epicus Doomicus Metallicus' in its entirety for the very first time, featuring Johan Lngquist on vocals!! Spinal Tap Into A New Short Film |
The seven minute short marks iTunes' first original film, where Spinal Tap, having put Stonehenge on the map in their legendary song about the world heritage site, pay their first visit to the monument. As if drawn by some primal, magnetic force, Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins and Derek Smalls set out on a pilgrimage to this ancient site. The silent song of these mysterious lithic Sirens inspires the distinguished artistes to make a trans-generational house-call.
iTunes is featuring "Stonehenge: 'Tis A Magic Place" alongside the original "This is Spinal Tap" film, available digitally in HD for the first time, as well as all three of the band's albums including their new "Back from the Dead."

Melissa Auf der Maur Added To The Royal Flush Festival |
In addition to premiering great independent films every year, the festival presents exclusive live performances at Knitting Factory such as British psychedelic punk legends The Raincoats and a rare NYC appearance by Melissa Auf der Maur (Hole/ Smashing Pumpkins), her first since her 2004 debut solo album. Royal Flush Festival will sneak peek Auf der Maur's self-produced new project Out Of Our Minds, a multi-media concept album featuring an album, comic and film directed and edited by Tony Stone.
"I can't think of a better way to share this multi-faceted creation than by playing Knitting Factory and screening at Anthology Film Archives as part of the hard rocking Royal Flush Festival," said Auf der Maur. "My wicked new live band and I are determined to make a lasting and loud impression on New York City and friends of Royal Flush."

Steve Kimock Touring Crazy New Project |
Steve Kimock is also an innovator for his ability to create matchless arrangements of musicians, who for over thirty years have collectively created inimitable improvisational performances based on the elements of classic rock, jazz, prog and rhythm & blues, with the kind of soul only someone with his experience and depth can construct.
His latest project, aptly named Crazy Engine, is also approached with the same "a bit of the old and a bit of the new" logic. The line-up includes the legendary Hammond B3 player Melvin Seals, known for his twenty years with the Jerry Garcia Band, as well as his son, John Morgan Kimock on drums. Not without merit, the twenty-year-old drummer has organized a number of self-released albums earning him a record deal with Rope-A-Dope Records by the age of 18. Rounding out the quartet is accomplished singer-songwriter and cello player, Trevor Exter, who was plucked out of the NYC indie music scene to fill the roll of bass and vocals. This arrangement of seasoned players and talented youthful musicians blends with Kimock's innovative mind for music - and foretells a merge of his vintage appeal with a modern twist, to befit music lovers of all types.

Electric Tickle Machine Set Vinyl Release And Tour |
Recorded in 14 days in the winter of 2009 by Matt Boynton (Gang Gang Dance, Vietnam, Bat For Lashes), the record delivers hooky anthems bathed in organic layers of psychedelic fuzz. From the title track's conciliation of the confounding, to the spooky shuffle of "Bones," the sincere hand-clapper "Part Of Me" to the twangy, countrified "Fast Train," Blew It Again satisfies the most eclectic of musical cravings.
This new band's spacey brand of American garage-pop is as much an ode to curiosity and playfulness as it is a loving indictment of society caught in the throes of western medicine. This repeat listen will see a digital release in the fall with a limited edition vinyl format available on the band's upcoming US tour (which is one NOT to miss).

Inhale Exhale Set Rocktober Release |
The follow-up to 2008's buzz-inducing I Swear..., the new album is a career-defining exercise in dynamics and energy, combining squelchy, feral guitars cascading off of commanding screams and pleading melodies. It's a dizzying give-and-take of brawny riffage and chiming, atmospheric guitar tapestries.
"With 'Bury Me Alive', we really sat down and tried to do something different and fresh for our fans," explains guitarist and principle songwriter John LaRussa. "We feel like this is the album they wanted us to write also. There is a lot more energy in the songs, and we stepped it up a notch on heavy progressive side of things."
