Brian Head Welch (ex-Korn) Week: Final Day |
"Die Religion Die": After I quit Korn I started going to Churches a lot. I wanted to get to know God and I thought that hanging out at Churches was the best way. After getting irritated at a handful of Churches and taking off, I realized that I don't have to join a Church or conform to anybody's rules to get to know God better. I invited Christ into my life so everything I do now, I do it with him. And that includes screaming, "DIE RELIGION DIE!"
We know you are anxious to hear what Head's new music sounds like, so you can grab previews from "Save Me From Myself," learn more about the album and Head's new autobiography and more right
Kanye Arrest Video |
Erik then went over to Kanye, his camera rolling, when Kanye's body guard walked up to him, realized Erik was taping, and said, "Give me the camera, give me the camera." Erik responded that he had a press pass and had a right to shoot. The assistant then grabbed the camera, ripped off the mic and viewfinder and smashed it to the ground.
Erik says Kanye then tried to leave to board his plane, but cops stopped him before he got to security. The cops then interviewed Erik, the still photog, Kanye and his assistant.. This is where it gets crazy. The cops asked Erik if he videotaped the incident and Erik said he had. That's when Kanye lunged toward him and said, "Give me the fu***ng videotape." Cops had to restrain Kanye as he tried coming at Erik.

Slipknot Bashes Labels, Current Music Scene |
"Why would you blame (people who download music)? Half the f**king albums that are out there are sh*t," Taylor told Kerrang!". I don't download, but at the same time, I don't buy new music 'cause it all sucks. Okay, there's a handful of bands that I buy, but other than that, I just buy old sh*t because old sh*t is good.
"People wanna blame the decline of album sales on downloading, I think it's actually the record companies' fault," he added. "I think it's the quality of the product. If record companies would stop giving any f**king mook on the street with a fringe a record deal or their own record label, maybe you would sell more f**king albums, dipsh*ts." Tell us how you really feel! Maybe he was looking at the Roadrunner roster?

I Hate New Music |
Whichever side of the rock divide you fall onif you favor Motrhead or RadiheadThompson's highly-opinionated yet tongue-firmly-in-cheek manifesto is an essential read that will have you questioning why Thin Lizzy, Steve Miller, and Iron Maiden's Eddie have been grossly ignored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame election board while R.E.M. gets a free pass. [that's easy: it's because Yawn is a Weiner]
After authoring over 100 books on music, film and pop culture as well as countless articles critiquing bands both old and new, author Dave Thompson finally takes the gloves off and speaks out against the evils of post-70s rock. Over the course of 250 pages Thompson rails against the very forces that are killing rock'n'roll from the inside outfrom the Mars Volta's pseudo-prog excess to Kelly Clarkson's shrill wailand neither underground cult heroes nor top-tier sacred cows are spared.
