Dr Dre Suing His Homie

TMZ reports: The author of the book "Rollin' With Dre" is also allegedly rolling in Dre's money, and the good Doctor wants it back. Stat.

In a lawsuit dripping in betrayal, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Dr. Dre claims he loaned Bruce Williams $101,377.85 and was stiffed worse than Biggie Smalls.

Williams' book, released last March, chronicles the struggle of Dre and others in the world of hip-hop. - more on this story

Secret Halloween Ting Tings

PR reports: MySpace Music announces that The Ting Tings will be playing a show at the Barbary in Philadelphia on Halloween, October 31 as part of MySpace's Secret Show series. Doors open at 7:30 and fans attending are urged to come in costume. The Secret Show is a free, exclusive performance for the MySpace community.

Jules De Martino and Katie White, aka The Tings Tings, have been consistently winning over critics and audiences alike with their irresistible blend of electro-pop sounds and dance-punk attitude. Their debut album We Started Nothing was a #1 album in the UK and the first single, "Shut Up and Let Me Go" also reached the top of the UK charts. In the US, music fans know the song from massive radio play, its use in an iPod commercial and it's use on TV in "Gossip Girl" and "90210."

MySpace Music has organized more than 150 Secret Shows since the franchise launched in February 2006 with artists like Gnarls Barkley, The Offspring, Neil Diamond, Slayer, Fran Ferdinand, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs performing in cities around the world. Circle Jerks Vinyl and Digital

PR reports: The Circle Jerks have just released two special vinyl products that will interest both fans and collectors. itunes has also just posted a ton of the Circle Jerks back catalog so you can finally complete your collection and fill your ipod up, check the itunes store today and avail yourself to the bands recorded history in the worlds most popular format.

In a first for the band, a 12" vinyl picture disc has been released on Porterhouse Records of the bands debut album "Group Sex". This will be a collectors item to be sure. In fact an extremely limited group of the initial pressing have been autographed by the surviving original band members Keith Morris, Greg Hetson and Lucky Lehrer. PR reports: Beck expands his innovative reach yet again, with two upcoming creative collaborations with MySpace Music: The worldwide debut of a brand new video for "Gamma Ray," the current single from Beck's universally acclaimed Modern Guilt, will premiere on MySpace Music (www.myspace.com/music) on Tuesday, October 28. Directed by Jess Holzworth, the new "Gamma Ray Redux" music video features Chloe Sevigny as a post apocalyptic go-go dancer set loose in a Dada-ist pastiche of psychedelic imagery and characters.

Additionally, a lucky Beck MySpace fan will be chosen to make their very own "Beckumentary" on November 9, at the first of Beck's two sold out nights at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles. The Beckumentarian will conduct an interview with Beck and shoot both performance and behind-the-scenes footage. The resulting documentary will premiere Tuesday, November 18 on MySpace Music.

David Cook Gets His Light On

PR reports: American Idol winner David Cook today launched the "Light On" interactive lighter application for iPhone and iPod touch, giving fans a deluxe version of his first single, "Light On," co-written by Chris Cornell and Brian Howe off his debut album. The "Light On" App is now available for download from Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPod touch and David Cook's debut album will be released on 19 Recordings / RCA Records on November 18th on the iTunes Store.

"Light On" debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Digital Songs charts and was the #1 most added song at Hot AC and is one of the fastest growing songs at the format.

The (International) Noise Conspiracy Plan Expands

PR reports: Sweden's The (International) Noise Conspiracy today announce select performances in the U.S. in mid-November. The band will be in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco just a few days before their latest disc, The Cross Of My Calling, is released on November 25, 2008 on Vagrant/American.

The quartet recorded the fourteen-track set at Sunset Sound in Hollywood with legendary producer Rick Rubin at the helm.

Alesana and A Static Lullaby Team Up

PR reports: Fearless Records is excited to announce that labelmates Alesana and A Static Lullaby will be teaming up this fall on a nationwide tour called En-Tour-Age.

The tour will also include Greeley Estates, Motionless in White, and Jamies Elsewhere. It kicks off on November 16th in Lansing, MI, and will conclude in Allentown, PA on December 7th.

To say that these bands are familiar with the life of touring would be an extreme understatement.
