The Cab is Coming |
"WHISPER WAR" was recorded late last year with Matt Squire (Cute Is What We Aim For, All Time Low) producing and additional production by Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy). The album expertly melds The Cab's avowed love for the soulful pop stylings of Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson, with a punk and rock 'n' roll sensibility informed by such bands as Blink-182 and The Bled.
Signed to Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen on the recommendation of labelmates Panic At The Disco, the Las Vegas-based quintet quickly made a regional name for itself with its piano-infused modern pop-rock sound.

Emerson Hart Tour |
The 12-track CD, which Hart began conceiving in 2005 after moving to Nashville, showcases his penchant for writing thoughtful, memorable songs about life, love and loss, wrapped in some of the most irresistible pop-rock melodies you'll hear this year. Hart also enlisted the production talents of Bob Rock (Metallica, Bon Jovi), Jason Lehning (Guster, Steve Forbert) and Mike Napolitano (Squirrel Nut Zippers, Joseph Arthur) for the recording sessions in Nashville and New Orleans.
As former lead singer for alt-rock radio and concert favorites Tonic, Hart enjoyed platinum sales, chart topping singles and albums.

The Dollyrots Skating on Cover Tune |
Clocking in at 02:53, this blistering version gives the original a big, snotty facelift with feedback guitars, driving bass and sneering vocals from Kelly Ogden (deemed one of Blender's hottest women in rock). Though it might seem like an unlikely cover for an LA punk band, The Dollyrots turn the folk-infused original into a rollicking good time.
Why cover "Brand New Key?" Says Kelly, "I discovered the song when I was about 16. My best friends' Dad had the coolest folk rock record collection and I was a growing girl looking for something, anything, to relate to and kind of latch on to. The stories, Woodstock, Greenwich Village, the clothes... so I became a 16 year-old hippie living in Land O' Lakes, Florida. "Brand New Key" was my theme song in those days. All I know is that's the year I worked all summer and at the end, I bought an acoustic guitar. The song really makes me remember who I was and where I was at the time."

Pete Wentz Beats It with John Mayer |
This is how all things are should work. You call someone up you think is rad and a friend of yours and say "hey would you do this thing" and he says "ok". We imagine this is how it went back in the day (except with a private jet ride, mound of coke and swimming pool of money- ahh I wonder what the good old days were like haha).
Anyway, this will be available on our "****" live dvd and we just wanted to express our musical man-crush for john.
