Killsmith Week: Day 4 "Distributed" |
"Distributed"...one thing I liked about this book, we went through and really did a niceall the lyrics in the booklet as well. And they're pretty clear on the album as well but I do like to do that once in a while. These particular lyrics, when you talk about, I think kids today probably, go to psychiatrist and take medication that probably they don't need. I don't know. I'm not an expert. That's just my opinion. I'm very opinionated about stuff by the way, I hate to tell you. (laughs.) I know it's hard to believe, right? But I think that people take kids, and once they're labeled with some sort of, or anything from schizophrenia to god-only- knows-what, that sort of puts a label on them. The song sort of dwells in that vein. Plus I may be crazy too. You never know. It's one of those two stories, Morley.

Mini Me Sextape |
Yes, that's Mini-Me Verne Troyer in a sex tape shot with his former live-in girlfriend at the couple's apartment. A third party has snatched up the tape and although no deal has been made, we hear dealer Kevin Blatt, who brokered the deal for Paris' video, is entertaining a $100k offer from SugarDVD to distribute the nastiness.
We would have thought the tape was worth at least ONE BILLION DOLLARS. A rep for Troyer could not be reached for comment.

Dog Kept Axl and Slash From Reuniting |
"I actually talked on the phone to Sly Stone because I always wanted to do obscure covers of Sly Stone songs," Bach said. "I want to do them in the style of 'Back in the Saddle' from [Bach's new solo album] 'Angel Down'. I had a whole session ready to go. Sly said, 'I'd love Axl and Slash to come play on this.' I texted Axl and said, 'Would you be interested in singing with Sly Stone on some music?' He goes, 'Yeah. If this is a real album that Sly's doing, I will come down there and sing with you guys.'
"I was footing the bill for this session on my own. I had everyone ready to go. At the very last minute my manager calls Sly and says, 'What's Sly going to need?' Sly wanted me to buy him a dog. He gave me this information on a specific kennel in northern California in Napa Valley and a specific breed for one puppy that he wanted me to buy for him for $8,500. That was the straw that broke the camel's back on the session."

"We picked 'Remember Tomorrow' from Iron Maiden's self titled first album... it was basically the blueprint for songs like 'Fade to Black' and 'Sanitarium' and when we were jamming our way thru most of our favorite early Maiden songs, this one stood out and also came together somewhat effortlessly... we had a blast recording it at HQ in the middle of all the insanity of the last two weeks of finishing the new album back in May. Some of our other favorite bands recorded their own versions of Maiden songs too... Machine Head, Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold, Coheed And Cambria, Dream Theater to name a few.
