Deep Purple Legend Roger Glover's Mother Passes |
"My sad news; my mother, Brenda Glover, passed away on the 10th June, 2008. She was 86 and spent two and a half years fighting cancer. My life has been put on hold for the last three months as my sister Christine and I have been caring for her in her home in the UK.
"I am deeply indebted to my band-mates for allowing me this time off. My daughter Gillian and the rest of the family have been unswerving in their love and support. Everyone's mother is special but Brenda had a way of being a special mother to everyone. I am a fortunate son indeed."

What Happened To Blink |
Start The Machine is the in-depth personal account of the events that lead former Blink-182 singer and guitarist Tom DeLonge to leave the 20 times platinum rock band to form his current group, Angels And Airwaves. The film follows DeLonge through the first year of recording the Angels And Airwaves debut album We Don't Need To Whisper. The new film will premier one night only on June 14th at La Paloma Theatre in San Diego and will subsequently be released on DVD June 17th.
In addressing the reason for the Blink-182 "indefinite hiatus," DeLonge reveals the dramatic impact it had on his personal life and the music he subsequently created. He also speaks for the first time about his hidden addiction to prescription drugs and the backlash Angels And Airwaves experienced as a result of his boastful statements in the press during their album release. Viewers will be introduced to the other members of the band, including Atom Willard, David Kennedy, former bassist Ryan Sinn and current bassist Matt Wachter and hear their thoughts and influence on the events that occurred during that time.

Musical Dimebag For Sale |
"Jenji Kohan [Creator and Executive Producer of the show] and I both grew up with the song and she played it over and over while writing the pilot," said music supervisor Christopher Noxon of the inclusion of "Little Boxes" in the show's overall theme and profile. "We were absolutely thrilled when such an amazing array of artists came forward with their own distinct, individual interpretations of a song about conformity. There was never any question that it would be the perfect theme."
About the song's retirement, Noxon said, "With Nancy moving out of Agrestic and out of her 'little box,' it just didn't make sense to stick with 'Little Boxes.' We tried to make it work, but in in the end I think it's a credit to the producers that they recognized that the show, like Nancy, has moved up and on."

Order of Ennead Earache |
The band are currently hard at work in Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida, recording their debut album with the help of Mark Lewis. Commenting on the signing, Steve Asheim enthused: "Order of Ennead are really psyched about our deal with Earache Records. The possibilities afforded us by this deal are endless. So watch out for us on the road and in stores very soon. I can't wait to get on tour with this band and see what people think."
Commenting on the recording, Scott Patrick added: "I am totally stoked to be picked up by Earache, their support in the extreme/death/black/grind genre is unparalleled in my opinion. To that point I know Earache is the right home for us! Working with Mark Lewis at Audio Hammer is killer, that cat knows what metal is supposed to sound like in the 21st century. Order of Ennead's music, lyric content, and live shows will turn heads world-wide. I can't wait to tour for this act, showing the masses just how extreme our delivery of the extreme metal genre can be."

KUDU is Back for More |
Back for More follows the Brooklyn-based trio's acclaimed 2006 full-length Death of the Party; and much like its deliciously retro-modern, genre-hopping predecessor, the remix collection seamlessly navigates through a gritty urbana bursting with heavy neon-daubed grooves that meld dark melodic synth-pop and thunderous electro-punk with deviant future disco and gloriously twisted cabaret to create the ideal soundtrack for electronic-pop music lovers and dancefloor junkies.
Carefully compiled by KUDU with the help of Petrit Pula and Craig Roseberry, Back for More is a well-crafted hybrid of adventurous reworks of stand-out selections from Death of the Party alongside new and previously released tracks, rarities and explosive remixes by Sinden, Drop the Lime, MKL, Hess is More, Tommie Sunshine and many more...
