"I met the next artist about 3 years ago and was enormously impressed with this young man from Sudan," said Peter Gabriel, as he introduced Emmanuel Jal at the 46664 Nelson Mandela concert. "His brutal childhood as a 7 year old child soldier taught him to be a mindless killing machine. People expected Mandela to come out of 27 years in jail calling for revenge but he came out calling for forgiveness, compassion and collaboration."
"This next artist came out of the horror of a brutal war, a brutal childhood with a clear voice calling out against violence, hatred and materialism. He's gonna have a huge influence in the world way beyond his music. He's still developing and exploring his musical voice, but I think you have the opportunity to see someone with the potential of a young Bob Marley. Please give an enormous welcome to the amazing Emmanuel Jal."

"You guys never saw me on stage, interview and videos with Cryptopsy because, both of us decided that it was better for me to leave the band for many reasons, but the principal one is money problems. Many year ago, I put that little picture on my VF profile that says that "Everytime you steal music, god kills a kitten..." I WAS THAT F*CKING KITTEN, YOU, STUPID A*SHOLES DOWNLOADERS AND THERE IS NO GOD!!! Yes, I assure you, downloading music unfortunatly kills great artists.
Everyone in the media/entertainment industries is really worrying about the problem. So because of it I didn't had the luck to experiment what's a video clip realization, neither what's a worldtour, but my tracks will be on the album next to come and I still really glad about it. [does anyone else see the irony of a "samplist" complaining about people stealing music? -

"I had no idea that this gig included a rodeo. I have a huge problem with animal cruelty at rodeos. Greeley is a huge rodeo, which means an enormous amount of animal abuse! I am blown away that I missed the description of this show on our touring schedule printout."
When asked if he will perform with Poison that night, Rockett stated, "I represent one quarter of Poison, not Poison as a band. My band mates do understand my feelings about this. I don't own the band, but Poison isn't Poison without me. I have decided to keep my commitment to the fans and educate them about rodeo cruelty at the same time. However, this is the last gig like this, and the rest of the band agrees with that."

Strugglers, the band's fourth album, kicks off with Looney Tunes inspired horns on "Any Moment Now"- the first single to be released digitally August 5th. The infectious track is what Suchan refers to as "an attempt at an updated 'I'm Waiting for the Man.'" Another highlight is "Roll the Dice," with its sincere political musings in the guise of an indie-pop song. A pop song with mandolin that mentions Jean-Paul Sartre and George Orwell, that's Koufax.
Written by Suchan in the fall of 2007 while living in Prague, Strugglers delves into political and social commentary through narratives tackling the party hopping drunk ("Drivers"), deluded Hollywood-types' reign over pop culture ("California Taught Us Well") and the condescension that is found in so many of the "truth movements" ("Strugglers"). With lyrical strength and a delivery that Rolling Stone calls "dramatic, Morissey-like crooning," Suchan ranks as one of the most talented frontmen in the game.

Guitarist/keyboardist Paul LaPlaca (Zandelle, Z02, Chris Caffery solo band) has been tapped to contribute a dark interpretation of the foreboding Kiss track "Unholy." Chris Caffery himself (Savatage, Trans Siberian Orchestra) will perform the guitar solo with drums provided by Dennis Leeflang (Sun Caged, Epica, Bumblefoot solo band). Penned by Vinnie Vincent and Gene Simmons, the song is one of three Vincent co-writes to appear on Kiss' "Revenge" album from 1992, nearly a decade after his departure from the band.
Also confirmed for the tribute is a new recording of the Vinnie Vincent Invasion anthem "Boyz Are Gonna Rock" by Mike Weeks, guitarist on the most recent solo album by original Invasion vocalist Robert Fleischman. Joining Weeks on the track are former Nitro bassist T.J. Racer and drummer Andre LaBelle, who appeared alongside Fleischman on the unreleased third Vinnie Vincent album "Guitars from Hell."
