The new record will follow the band's 2006 self-titled debut, a unique blend of folky-dance-rock, released on indie label Aeronaut Records. Hello Stranger are currently in the studio with producer Mike Elizondo (Maroon 5, Rilo Kiley, Fiona Apple), where the band's heavier side has started to emerge on tracks like "Big Boots" and "Gimme Back My Wig" -- songs with a power made for the stadium.

The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Plan US Invasion |
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards is Scotland's senior regiment and her only regular cavalry. The band members, as well as being trained musicians, are all Army soldiers who crew tanks.
The album, both Scots and classical tunes, is a tribute to the dedication and talent of this group of military pipers. While they are first and foremost soldiers, the music on Spirit of the Glen is a heart-warming and beautiful demonstration of the incredibly powerful and emotive sound of bagpipe music.

Sandrine is Coming |
Produced by Malcolm Burn (Patti Smith, Emmylou Harris, Rachael Yamagata), Dark Fades Into The Light is an intimate blend of melodies that incorporate elements of classic sixties pop with contemporary neo-soul.
The daughter of a minister, Sandrine began performing at the early age of 6, when her father organized the family into a Christian music group. They toured New Zealand, selling homemade CDs from the side of the stage. It wasn't until her rebellious teenage years when she was working as waitress in a local cafe that she was exposed to mainstream music; the first record someone gave her was the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers, and she was forever changed. She immediately picked up a guitar and started writing.
