Oh Canada Week: Serena Ryder Pt 2 |
"BRAND NEW LOVE" In theory.. I know that I can't possibly change anyone else.....in theory.....I know that there is no such thing as replacement... in theory... the most courageous thing any one person can do is surrender.
"WEAK IN THE KNEES" It's our own fault...as much as we'd love to put the blame on them...we've always done it all to ourselves... we should know by now...the difference between love and falling down... "you can't rollerskate in a buffalo heard...but you can be happy if you've a mind to" -Roger Miller
We'll be back with Serena on Friday for final song story. For now find out how she differs from the standard singer/songwriter by checking out the songs on her

Switchfoot Up In Arms |
"We've known Jamie [Tworkowski] for over five years now, and when he first told us about his vision to start TWLOHA two years ago, we were thrilled to jump on board in whatever way we could, wearing his t-shirts, linking to his myspace, just getting the word out," says Switchfoot member Tim Foreman. "The dialogue surrounding depression is such an important one. It is huge for people to know that these are issues that are normal and ok to talk about. TWLOHA is breathing hope into lives once trapped by fear and doubts. 'Love is the Movement.' We're honored that a song we wrote seven years ago has become the slogan for TWLOHA. And it's true: love provides the motion that pushes us past the scars wear."

Crips and Bloods Called in to Battle the Britney Menace? |
Which they are. Admittedly they're reportedly doing it by sending gang members into paparazzi scrums to scare the photographers into leaving Britney Spears alone. That's both distasteful and immoral, but anything that stops us from having to look at photos of Britney Spears' mouldy old bajingo any more is alright in our books.
According to the New York Daily News: "The legion of lensmen has been infiltrated by L.A. gang members Crips and Bloods, according to some photo-agency heads. They claim rival agencies are arming the thugs with cameras and sending them out to do battle with the dozens of paps who rubberneck around Hollywood's favorite train wreck. All of the agency heads we interviewed said they do not hire street toughs. "They may dress like gang members with large pants and tattoos, but to say they're gang members right now, well, real gang members are not into Britney Spears," said Frank Navarre, a Frenchman who owns the X17 agency. "I think red carpet is worse. I used to do red carpet myself, and one guy broke my camera."
