Gym Class Heroes, Lil Wayne, T-Pain And Others We Never Heard Of Tour

Atlantic Records reports: Gym Class Heroes have announced details of their arena tour alongside Lil Wayne. The dates � which feature a multi-artist bill that also includes T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, and Keri Hilson � will kick off December 14th at Miami's American Airlines Arena and then travel the U.S. through early January. Among the tour's certain highlights will be a New Year's Eve extravaganza at the Philips Arena in Atlanta.

Gym Class Heroes will herald the upcoming tour with a performance of "Guilty As Charged" on the December 11th installment of NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly. This follows the Geneva, NY-based outfit's recent appearance on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. - more on this story

Kylie Gets Remixed

PR reports: Kylie Minogue will continue to rule the dancefloor with the release of a brand-new collection of remixes of her classic songs, entitled Boombox The Remix Album 2000-2008, on January 27th on Astralwerk Records.

The collection features remixes by some of the world's most sought-after producers, including Chemical Brothers, Fischerspooner, Mylo, and Sebastian Leger.

The Aussie superstar has attracted a loyal U.S. fanbase drawn to her dreamy electro-pop dancefloor fillers ever since the release of her 2001 breakout hit album Fever. She has racked up successive Billboard Club chart-toppers such as "Can't Get You Out of My Head," the Grammy-Award winning "Come Into My World," "Love At First Sight," and "Slow," all of which receive the remix treatment on Boombox. - more on this story

Mezklah Member in Major Car Crash

PR reports: At approximately 2:00 PM Saturday, December 6, Mezklah bassist/keyboardist Juan-Carlos Ramirez was involved in a major car accident in Downtown Los Angeles. He sustained major injuries, including a broken pelvis and ruptured bladder, for which he is currently undergoing treatment for at USC's Intensive Care Unit.

According to Mezklah guitarist Greg Hernandez, Juan-Carlos is improving steadily, and remains in high spirits: "Everything is still there, including his sense of humor." Juan-Carlos adds, "I'll only be at the next couple gigs in spirit, but after that, I'll play the rest in a wheelchair if I have to." Ramirez is expected to make a full recovery, but will have to undergo months of treatment and rehabilitation.

Soldiering on, the remaining members of Mezklah will still proceed with their show at Silverlake Lounge, Tuesday, December 16 as originally planned - more on this story

Stars Lineup For Children's Cancer Fundraiser in Hollywood

Filter reports: Dangerbird Records' Eulogies, The One AM Radio and local songstress Sara Lov, along with special DJ sets by Silversun Pickups and Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel, Postal Service), will perform at "Pablove Supreme," a children's cancer fundraiser happening December 16 at 6 p.m., at the newly-unveiled Space 15 Twenty in Hollywood.

Brought to you by Dangerbird Records, Filter Magazine and Urban Outfitters, the free all-ages event is to celebrate and promote the good work of the Pablove Foundation, named after Pablo Castelaz, the 5-year-old son of Dangerbird Records co-founder Jeff Castelaz who is currently battling a rare form of kidney cancer. This charity directly supports pediatric cancer treatment and research at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

"Pablove Supreme" follows the recent release of Give. Listen. Help., a double-disc album featuring rare and unreleased tracks by a slew of top-tier indie and alternative artists including Radiohead, Bloc Party, Oasis, Rilo Kiley and Garbage, who completed their song, "Witness To Your Love," especially for Pablo. - more on this story

Oh the Irony! Barenaked Ladies Provide Family Entertainment

Jam! reports: It took Barenaked Ladies about a decade to win over their first generation of fans. Now, they're focusing on the next generation with Snacktime!, a concert for family's with little ones.

But that's not to say they're abandoning the adult crowd. After Saturday's matinee show at the NAC, the boys will return to the stag at 8 p.m. for their Barenaked Christmas concert.

VH1 and 495 Productions are taking 9 of these unsuspecting bad boys and sending them to relationship boot camp in a new series titled "Tool Academy." The eight episode series, hosted by Jordan Murphy, is slated to premiere Sunday, January 11 at 10pm. *

The guys, all secretly nominated by their girlfriends, initially believe they are taking part in a competition in search of "Mr. Awesome."
