Weiland Done With Stone Temple Pilots? |
In an interview with USA Today, Weiland spoke about the possibility of a new studio album from Stone Temple Pilots. The bandhas just completed an extensive and highly successful US reunion tour. Fans are clamoring for a new album, but Weiland is on the fence.
"My goal in STP was to leave an imprint," he says. "That was done. I want to move forward and be in control of what I do musically. I have kids, and I don't want to spend my life on the road."

Giant Drag frontwoman Annie Hardy has revealed that she is suffering from fibromyalgia, a chronic condition that can make your whole body ache. "Basically I'm in dull to gnarly pain all the time, and I'm supposed to be doing physical therapy three times a week but can't afford it," Hardy said in an interview.more

BW&BK reports: He had just celebrated his birthday on November 30th. To say that Adrian was active in the metal scene is an understatement. Early in his journalism career he worked at Canada's M.E.A.T Magazine (along with BW&BK's Carl Begai and "Metal" Tim Henderson).
Soon-after, Adrian, along with Gino Filicetti formed one of the world's first extreme metal webzines called Chronicles Of Chaos. Adrian went on to create Unrestrained! Magazine which gained worldwide popularity in the extreme underground realm.

Kennedy Center honorees are recognized for their lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts, and The Who made history as the first Rock band to be regaled with the honor.
Actor/Rocker Jack Black introduced the legendary British band before Dave Grohl, Chris Cornell, Joss Stone and others paid tribute to them in front of a diverse crowd of politicians and musicians at the capitol's Opera House.

Labels No Longer Like iLike |
The move comes months after iLike struck a deal with Rhapsody, earlier this year, to let users stream a limited number of full songs from the service for free. Rhapsody lets non-subscribers stream 25 songs a month in full before reverting to 30-second samples, relying on advertising to cover the licensing costs.
Several services such as iLike and MOG partnered with Rhapsody for this feature as a sort of ad-hoc full-song streaming strategy. But the record labels say its agreement with Rhapsody doesn't allow third parties to use the service in this way without their express permission, leading to the blocked content.

New Black Eyed Peas Spells The End of Album Format? |
Don't be fooled by the album's title: The END does not mean the Peas are breaking up. It simply stands for "The Energy Never Dies," according to BEP leader Will.I.Am.
However, one thing that Will does see coming to an end is the traditional album format. "When it comes out, there'll be 12 songs on it, but the next day there could be 100 songs, 50 sketches, 1,000 blogs all (online) around The END, so the energy really, truly never dies," the Rapper and producer told Billboard.com about the new album.
