Deicide Take On The World |
Following the previously announced one-off American date with Order Of Ennead (featuring Steve Asheim) and Adrift (featuring Jack Owen), Deicide will head to the other side of the world for dates in Italy, Japan and Australia.
With the announcement of these new worldwide dates, the heaviest band to ever make the Billboard charts will take the venomous animosity captured on Till Death Do Us Part out onto the stages and undoubtedly create some of the greatest performances of the band's storied career.
The Silent Years Proclaim Their New Album A Masterpiece |
Critically acclaimed by the press and having been compared to and equally inspired by artists such as Elliot Smith, Tim Buckley, Flaming Lips and Sunny Day Real Estate; they combine simple and sweet melodies with sharp and powerful bursts of emotion via instrument and vox; leaving even the most stoic of listeners with goose bumps and a smile. Allow yourself to be taken into the weird and wondrous world created by The Silent Years, a very special band indeed.

Mother Mother Tour Tour Video Video |
The band has just completed a video for the title track. The clip was helmed by visionary 22 year-old director Colin Minihan, who recently achieved an incredible four videos simultaneously charting on the MuchMusic Countown, and also got a Best Independent Video nomination at the recent MuchMusic Video Awards.
The "O My Heart" video blends stop motion and live action and features the band performing as 3-inch paper cut outs glued to cardboard backings inside a colorful diorama that rests inside a youngster's bedroom. The narrative ties into the performance and eventually leads to the band performing the ending of the song inside the young boys chest, on top of his broken and still beating paper-mach heart, until it patches itself back together.
