Airheads Needed For Paris Hilton Show
antiMusic reports: Now with this story we are not sure who is less worthy of breathing our fine air. The 85,000 nitwits that want to be friends with Paris Hilton or the handful of nitwits at MTV that are making a reality show about it.

Hecklerspray has the story: You can waste your time watching as many Al Gore documentaries as you like, but believe hecklerspray when we tell you that global warming is nothing but a 5* hotel-funded conspiracy. The reason that that tidal wave hit Phuket; the reason that Mardi Gras is now held in a swamp; the reason that the cuckoo now prefers to spend its holidays somewhere other than Kent; is solely down to the existence of Paris Hilton, her mind-numbing minions, MTV and the soon-to-be aired TV show I wanna be Paris' New Best Friend.

According to People magazine, 85,000 people are seeking a chance to become Paris Hilton's BFF. That is far more than enough to fill Wembley stadium. In fact, hecklerspray would like to suggest to MTV that they try to cram all those people into Wembley Stadium - Is Paris the beast of the book of Revelation?

TMZ has the story: Jay had just finished his monologue when security came in and cleared the joint. A fire alarm had gone off just before people were ordered to leave. Prince is scheduled to perform.

UPDATE: It's all good. According to someone inside, everyone went right back in after the evac -- and Jay told everyone that "Access Hollywood" was taping something next door involving smoke, and didn't tell the fire folks. - more on this story

How Punk Went Pop
antiMusic reports: We learn something new everyday. Today we learned that pop groups Good Charlotte and Sum 41 are now considered punk. Things sure seemed to have changed to the once revolutionary genre. The good news is that you can see for yourself how punk went from the underground with real punk bands to the pop mainstream with TRL clowns on a new DVD.

Punknews has the story: The documentary Punk's Not Dead has been set for release on DVD on May 01, 2008. As previously reported, the documentary focuses on the past 30 years in punk rock, with the social impact it has shown on everything from the original counter-culture, through its marketable image of today.

The cast consists of a wide variety of bands, labels and personalities; providing both interviews and performances. Current stars like Green Day, Good Charlotte and Sum 41; punk staples such as Bad Religion, Pennywise, Rancid and the Casualties; and pioneers like the Ramones, Minor Threat and the Dead Kennedys are just some of groups featured in the presentation. - That's all well and good but who wants a signed guitar?
