The album was recorded on January 12th at Nickel and Dime Studios in Atlanta (other bands who have recorded there in the past include Indigo Girls, The B-52's, Shawn Mullins) in front of 100 lucky fans who were chosen at random from over five thousand entries. Family and friends of the band were also in attendance. "Before The Amplifiers" is the perfect collection for both the hardcore band fans (a.k.a. Hazelnuts) and for listeners just discovering the band for the first time.

Hayes Carll Gets Animated |
The 32-year-old Texan delivers songs born of baptism-by-fire experience, world weary observations and sharp wit. While his songs draw a direct line from some of his legendary Texas heroes such as Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, Carll has managed to put a stamp on his music that is truly his own.
Carll's personality permeates all of the songs on Trouble In Mind. He makes this quite clear in the infectious melody of "It's A Shame", the ragged throw down "Bad Liver and a Broken Heart", the satirical "She Left Me For Jesus", and even in his rendition of Tom Waits' "I Don't Wanna Grow Up".

Acacia Strain Europe This Summer |
Heading across the pond in July and August, this marks the band's first return after offering direct support to Hatebreed in April of 2007 and first set of tour dates after THE ACACIA STRAIN's plans to headlining shows throughout the US on the Sun Your Bunz Summer Tour with support from All Shall Perish, The Warriors, Eternal Lord and Since The Flood.
"I can't even express in words how excited I am for this tour," frontman Vincent Bennett says. "This is our first time in mainland Europe, so expect some culture shock on both ends. Annotations and Knights of The Abyss both bring devious amounts of heavy, so this should be a tour to contend with. See you in July!"

Five Finger Death Punch Release Bonus Track |
But why release a song now rather than wait for a new album? As FFDP relates, the band wrote the song during some time away from the road and didn't want to wait for their next album to get the song to their fans. "We will be touring for the rest of the year, so we won't be releasing another album in '08," explains Guitarist Zoltan Bathory. "We're all very close to the Knuckleheads and didn't want to rip them off, so they won't have to buy the record all over againwhoever owns the album can download the song for free."
Vocalist Ivan Moody agrees, and was anxious to get the track heard by people. "We were really excited about the song, and rather than waiting a year or two to release it on a new album, we figured we should get it out there for everyone to hear as soon as possible," says Moody. "We're going to be on some kick-ass tours all this year, so we won't have time to record again for a while. Once we wrote this song and had a window to record it in KoRn's studio, we jumped at the chance."
