Invitro Week: Stitches |
stitches: was a song about trying to keep my life together. The first thing I wrote was the bridge, which I tried to fill with what I thought were ridiculous one line excuses I had used in the past.
The rest of the lyrics pertained to trying to keep my life under control, while constantly making mistakes concerning everything from priorities to partying, all the while trying to keep my problems a secret.

Elton Child Porn? |
Art gallery bosses at The Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art in Gateshead, England have withdrawn the explicit photo a day before the exhibition is due to start on Wednesday (26Sep07), reports British newspaper The Sun.
The photo, taken by famed photographer Nan Godin, features two young girls posing provocatively - and is one of 4,000 pictures used in the Sir Elton John Photographic Collection. The Rocket Man hitmaker is said to admire the "directness, truth and poignancy" of Godin's work.- more on this story
Want Some Van Halen? |
Here is just some of the fan reaction. max00k9 writes "Holy crap! Man this tour is gonna bury the Vanhagar era for good. This is what the f*** has been missing since Dave left VH pure rock and entertainment. With Sammy it was just zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz boring say bye bye to Vanhagar music for good! Eddie knows it why the hell would he have kept attempting to bring Dave back like 4 times, EVH knows they were at their best with Dave."
ljquigley says "Not bad...sorry am a Haggar fan at heart. Makes ME feel old looking at them, tho. I'm 47...lol." The footage had the opposite effect on fulcher33 who writes, "My God, I feel like 25 years have been erased off of my life and I'm 14 again. I'm not a very religious person but I'd like to thank God for making this happen." - Judge for yourself right here
Congress Vs Rap |
The House Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection held a hearing on Tuesday to examine the most important issue facing the nation, hip-hop. "Our representatives" heard stirring testimony from rappers about what is wrong and what is right with hip-hop. Master P couldn't apologize fast enough for using the word "bitch" in some of his past songs.
On the other side of the coin, rapper David Banner says he is just keeping it real. "I'm like (author) Stephen King: horror music is what I do," he said according to Contact music. "If by some stroke of the pen, hip-hop was silenced, the issues would still be present in our communities. Drugs, violence and the criminal element were around long before hip-hop existed."
If you are so inclined you can write your "representative" and tell them how much you appreciate them looking at the important issues instead of the frivolous ones. You'll find the contact information- right here.
White Stripes Sex Tape Denied |
But now Meg White's rep has come forward to put us out of our misery - and trust us, the Meg White sex tape made us pretty miserable - by pointing out that the whole Meg White sex tape thing is a fake. Meg's rep tells TMZ, "Some people have a very twisted sense of humor and this prank is in particularly bad taste. The tape circulating on the Internet as featuring Meg White is fake. It's definitely not Meg."
Yes, the Meg White sex tape prank is in particularly bad taste, for so many different reasons. ...Meg White is suffering from anxiety - although now we aren't sure if it's a genuine medically-diagnosed anxiety or just the sort of anxiety you get when you discover a woman who looks like a slightly uglier version of you is having sex on the internet - and rumours of a Meg White sex tape aren't exactly going to help her recovery.- more on this story
The Sex Pistols Revisit Anarchy for Video Game |
The Sex Pistols were an obvious choice for Guitar Hero, having established themselves as the definitive punk band of the 1970s. Unable to locate the original multi-tracks for inclusion in the game, Activision invited the band back into the studio to re-record a couple of songs including "Anarchy in the U.K." Original members John Lydon on vocals, guitarist Steve Jones and drummer Paul Cook re-teamed with producer Chris Thomas, utilizing the original analog sound desk (circa 1969) that was built for George Martin at Air Studios, London, England in order to maintain the classic sound.- more on this story
Serj Multiplicity |
It is pretty funny parody of the music biz and he also gives you a look at the recording in his home studio, previews some clips, as well as explains a little of the collective consciousness in the 9 minute video. Our favorite is the label exec.

Labels Criminally Accused of Hacking |
Here is their announcement: Thanks to the email-leakage from MediaDefender-Defenders we now have proof of the things we've been suspecting for a long time; the big record and movie labels are paying professional hackers, saboteurs and ddosers to destroy our trackers.
While browsing through the email we identified the companies that are also active in Sweden and we have tonight reported these incidents to the police. The charges are infrastructural sabotage, denial of service attacks, hacking and spamming, all of these on a commercial level.
The [music]companies that are being reported are the following:Emi Music Sweden AB, Universal Music Group Sweden AB, Sony Bmg Music Entertainment (Sweden) AB- the announcement
Lenny Kravitz Looks for February Revolution |
According to Billboard "Kravitz played nearly all the instruments on his first effort in three years, which was recorded at his studio in the Bahamas as well as Miami, Paris and New York." He spoke to the magazine's Jonathan Cohen last week and gave a few details on the effort. "The last record was still very natural, but it had a cleaner sound," Kravitz tells Billboard.com. "On this one, I was really into using more of the room mics and getting a lot of spill. I wanted to hear the walls and the room."
Don't worry he has some special tour plans
in store for you as well. He told Billboard that he is "going out and doing
surprise gigs and playing clubs, where I can get out there and get close
to the people and have fun." Tracklisting: "Love Revolution" "Bring It
On" "Good Morning" "Love Love Love" "If You Want It"
"I'll Be Waiting" "Will You Marry Me"
"I Love the Rain" "A Long and Sad Goodbye" "Dancing Till Dawn" "This Moment
Is All There" "A New Door" "Back in Vietnam" "I Want To Go Home". -

Hannah Montana Not Impregnated |
That didn't stop the whole wide internet believing that Miley Cyrus was pregnant yesterday, though, when a report claiming she had a bun in the oven - with quotes apparently from Miley Cyrus herself saying things like "I'm going to take good care of my baby" - was spread around various websites at lightning speed.
But now it's emerged that the whole Miley Cyrus pregnancy story was all just a hoax that got out of hand - and a good thing too. Although if the story had been true, who could possibly blame Miley Cyrus for getting pregnant at 14? After all, Miley's father is Billy Ray Cyrus, and if a girl can't validate her crippled sense of self-worth stemming from years of taunts about her Dad's spectacularly dreadful haircut by sleeping around like a hooker, then what can she do?- more on this story
