Nude Disney Star Sued - A Top Story This Week |
One of Vanessa Hudgens' old lawyers has decided to sue her for $150,000 over something to do with Vanessa Hudgens that shockingly doesn't involve any amount of teenage nudity whatsoever.
E! Online reports: The scandal-tinged High School Musical star was sued Monday for breach of contract by her former lawyer who says that the 18-year-old hasn't yet paid a $150,000 bill. In his complaint, Brian L. Schall claims that Hudgens has raked in more than $5 million from songwriting and recording deals that he helped negotiate starting Oct. 1, 2005- more on this story

OJ Arrested - A Top Story This Week |
Las Vegas police arrested O.J. Simpson on Sunday, saying he was part of an armed group who burst into a hotel room and snatched memorabilia related to his sports career, reports AP who further report that "Simpson was taken away from The Palms casino-hotel by plainclothes officers a day after the arrest of a golfing buddy who police say accompanied him with a gun in the Thursday night holdup."
OJ could get 30 years for just one count of armed robbery. Simpson claimed that he and the others involved were in the room trying to retrieve stolen items that including his Hall of Fame certificate and a picture he took with the late FBI dictator J. Edgar Hoover. He claims that there were no guns involved but police reportedly seized two firearms they believe were used in the robbery. One other man was arrested and police are on the look out for several more. We'll keep you posted if riots break out in Brentwood but for now if you want to know more about this, then AP will hook you up right- here
Kid Rock Says A Bitch Got Slapped - A Top Story This Week |
Steve The Producer was kind enough to send over a few more highlights for us to enjoy: Kid Rock denied that he and Tommy are fighting over Pamela Anderson. As far as he's concerned, Tommy or anybody else can have her. "The last thing I wanna do is to keep having my name associated with Pam and [Tommy Lee]." He added that divorcing Pam and getting out of that relationship was, quote, "the best thing I ever did."
Kid said the fight started because of, "Five or six years of complete and utter disrespect" that Tommy has shown him. Things really came to a head during the divorce. Pam and Tommy were throwing a birthday party for one of their kids, and Tommy took Pam's BlackBerry when she wasn't looking, and started e-mailing Kid Rock. Kid says it was, quote, "Some of the most horrendous things I'd ever heard. . . very disrespectful things." But Kid Rock didn't allow himself to be goaded into an e-mail war. He says, quote, "I'm not a talker. I just e-mailed him back and said, 'I will see you one day,' period. And when I came back from the bathroom at those awards and he was sitting right next to my seat at my table, that's it, that's enough. And I gave him the opportunity to stand up like a man, and he did not. And if you watch the tape, he doesn't start running his mouth until the security guards grab his arms."
As for Tommy's recent apology to pretty
much everyone at the VMAs BUT Kid Rock, Kid says, quote, "I'm not apologizing
to anyone, because whoever put us all in the room, whatever, they got what
they wanted. And this has been a long time coming. . . I did what any man
would have done."

Fan Impaled At Concert - A Top Story This Week |
Contact Music has the story: A Papa Roach fan is recovering in hospital after impaling his thigh on an inch-think spike while trying to climb a 12-foot iron fence to gain access to the Bad Boys of Rock concert in Pennsylvania.
Firefighters had to cut part of the fence away as the unnamed rock fan fell in and out of consciousness at the York concert on Wednesday (11Sep07), which also featured performances by Hinder and Buckcherry. The fan underwent surgery on Wednesday night.- more on this story
Disney Bans Metal, antiMusic calls for Disney Boycott - A Top Story This Week |
The Mickey Mouse execs have launched a war against metal, causing the cancellations of various metal shows at the House of Blues venues at their Disneyland and Disneyworld properties. According to the LA times, five metal concerts have either been moved off those properties or cancelled outright by Live Nation who run the House of Blues venues. Of course, that corporation offered up a lame excuse. John Vlautin, vice president of communications for Live Nation said in a statement last week "House of Blues offers a range of entertainment to match the audience at our venues. It was determined that the mix of entertainment at our two Disney locations should be different from our other venues."
Nevertheless, we here at antiMusic will do our part and we will no longer carry any articles related to anything Disney including Hollywood Records until they stop their censorship. We encourage you to join us in this boycott and refrain from all things Disney. Shouldn't be too hard.- find out which bands were banned

NIN Disbanding - A Top Story This Week |
"At this point, I want to switch things around a bit," he said. "Nine Inch Nails as a rock band configuration, we've done it and we've done it again. I see other ways I can present the material in concert, more challenging, something new. I don't want it to go stale."
"This group has toured together for two years", he said. "It's a well-rounded concert, a good collection of songs from different records."- more on this story

Van Halen Vs Zakk Wylde - A Top Story This Week |
"The last of the four secret rehearsals by VAN HALEN took place last night [Sunday, September 16] in Los Angeles. Unlike the other shows where 40-50 people were there, this was a much bigger affair with about 500 friends of the crew and band. Some of the people in attendance were Tom Morello (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE) METALLICA's Kirk Hammett and Zakk Wylde. About two songs into the show, Zakk who was front row tried to get onstage with Eddie [Van Halen].
The security were wrestling to pull him off and David Lee Roth came over and said, 'Nah, nah, nah. Are you in show biz? Then get off the stage. Get off the f***ing stage.' At that point Eddie came over and acknowledged Zakk, saying something to the effect of, 'Hey, man, I can't do this right now.' Throughout the show though Eddie was smiling at Zakk."- Some short comments on the performance and a video of the incident

A Junkie Romance - A Top Story This Week |
"The couple was spotted kissing and cuddling over lunch in a Wiltshire, England pub. It is believed the former Hole frontwoman was visiting the Babyshambles singer during his spell in rehab."
Our favorite part of the story is this quote from Courtney "Rocket Scientist" Love: "He's committed, he's very loyal, he's a Scorpio. We had really good chemistry. " Wonder what kind of chemistry that might be? Of the pharmaceutical variety perhaps? Read more at- Contact Music
Reznor Tells Fans to Steal His Music - A Top Story This Week |
At a show in Sydney on Sunday night he told the crowd: "Last time I was here, I was doing a lot of complaining about the ridiculous prices of CDs and that story got picked up and carried all around the world.
"Now my record label all around the world hates me because I yelled at them. I called them out for being greedy. Has anyone seen the price come down? OK, well, you know what that means: steal it. Steal away. Steal and steal and steal some more and give it to all your friends and keep on stealing.- more on this story

High School Musical 2: Young, dumb and full of c... cheese.

The Heavy Metal Box in Rocktober - A Top Story This Week |
Rhino dives into the mosh pit with a four-disc collection of musical wickedness that packs more fire and brimstone than an Aleister Crowley barbeque. The Heavy Metal Box invokes some of metal's biggest names with Alice Cooper's "Billion Dollar Babies"; Black Sabbath's "Neon Knights"; "Highway Star" by "the loudest group in the world," Deep Purple; Iron Maiden's "The Phantom Of The Opera" with singer Paul Di'Anno and "The Number Of The Beast" with singer Bruce Dickinson; Judas Priest's "The Ripper" and "You've Got Another Thing Comin'"; Metallica's "Whiplash" and uber-doom-ballad "One"; Megadeth's searing political statement "Peace Sells"; Slayer's soul crushing "South of Heaven"; and Pantera's marriage of metal and hardcore on "Cowboys From Hell." The boxed set also includes songs by Ted Nugent, Kiss, W.A.S.P., Diamond Head, Venom, Living Colour, and a pair of tracks featuring leather-lunged Lemmy Kilmister who appears on Hawkwind's "Lost Johnny" and Motorhead's "Ace of Spades." - more on this story
No More Drugs for Britney - A Top Story This Week |
According to the judge in the Britney Spears/ Kevin Federline custody bitchfight over their two young children, Britney Spears is a "habitual, frequent, and continuous" abuser of both drugs and alcohol, and if Britney Spears is serious about keeping her children, she'll need to submit herself to random drug tests to ensure that she's keeping her nose clean.
"Huh?" you're probably thinking, "If Britney
Spears is on drugs then why doesn't the judge immediately hand custody
over to Kevin Federline?" And the answer to that is simple - because he's
Kevin sodding Federline. Seriously, Britney Spears would need to set one
of her babies on fire and throw it out of an aeroplane to make Kevin Federline
even look like a halfway suitable custody prospect.

Emo's A Pile of Sh*t - A Top Story This Week |
Brett Sowerby conducted an interview with Way for The Maine Campus. Most of the questions were from students at the university but this one was not attributed to a student and really seemed to make Gerald "emotional". Here is the exchange: TMC: I understand you don't really like the term emo to describe your music. Is there anything you'd like to say about that?
GW: Basically, it's never been accurate to describe us. Emo bands were being booked while we were touring with Christian metal bands because no one would book us on tours. I think emo is F--ing garbage, it's bulls--.
I think there's bands that unfortunately we get lumped in with that are considered emo and by default that starts to make us emo. All I can say is anyone actually listening to the records, put the records next to each other and listen to them and there's actually no similarities. I think emo's a pile of s--. Hagar Talks About Van Halen Reunion, Anthony Snubs - A Top Story This Week |
Hagar: "I wouldn't do it without Mike. On the last reunion, and I'm telling you this straight up - this is stuff I've never really said actually - they wanted to throw Mike out then. Why? I don't know. I still can't understand why Ed has it out for Mike. Mike is the nicest guy in the world, and he's an unbelievable player. He's also an incredible singer and a professional. Mike is a guy who goes out every night and does a perfect job - a 10 every night - it's not even a 9.5. Why would you want to get rid of a guy like that? I don't know what happened between them somewhere when I wasn't around, but I just said, 'no, I won't do it without Mike.' My manager said, 'you put a gun in Mike's hand to negotiate with these guys.' I said, 'you're damn right because I'm telling you, the agency, the promoters and the band that I will not go out and do a Van Halen reunion show without Michael Anthony.'
"Obviously, someone else doesn't feel that way because Mike isn't there. Honest to Godit's none of my business. If Eddie wants to play with his son, fine. I love my son too, but I got him a different job. (laughs) I just think that it should be Mike. They will do good without him, and it's a shame. At the same time, I just think the fans are gonna walk away with a little bit of a disappointment because Mike's a big part of that band."- Check KNAC.com for the full interview

Mutemath Backwards Video - A Top Story This Week |
The idea for this unique performance stemmed from the video for the track which was a collaborative concept between video director Israel Anthem and the band. Every move and detail by each band member was conceived and painstakingly plotted and choreographed.
Band members learned and rehearsed their
individual parts of the song backwards so when filmed and viewed would
appear as accurately and naturally as possible in real time though the
film runs completely in reverse
