James Blunt Week: Same Mistake
antiMusic reports: James Blunt seemed to come out of nowhere a couple years ago to become an international superstar. His highly anticipated new album "All The Lost Souls" is a certified smash, topping charts across the globe last week and debuting at No. 7 here in the US. This week we have a treat for Blunt fans old and new. We asked James to pick some of his favorites songs from the new CD and tell us a bit about each one. Here is James with today's song "Same Mistake":

"Same Mistake" I wrote while I was on the road, and I can't remember exactly when - it was pretty early on, actually. So we've been able to road test that for a while now, and we knew that it went really well - so well that we actually stopped playing it for a while just so we didn't bore ourselves by overplaying it and so hopefully other people didn't hear it too much so when we released it on this album it would be new and fresh to us all. Again, having toured it, we were a bit nervous as to whether or not we'd be able to capture it in the studio, but I think we've done it and that's a really exciting song.

Fans Vs Zeppelin
Gigwise reports: Gigwise has been inundated with messages from Led Zeppelin fans who are angry with Harvey Goldsmith's announcement that no-one will be able to attend the o2 Arena without positive ID matching their sign-up name.

The promoter seemed un-phased by news that unique ticket codes given to successful ballot entrants were being sold for over the odds prices, claiming anyone who buys one won't be able to attend.

However, Led Zeppelin fans have now turned on him claiming that it's the fans who are the victims here and not the touts organisers are apparently trying to clamp down on. In a direct letter to Gigwise, Led Zep fan Felix Carassco who has bought a ticket code, said: "I find it a disgrace that Harvey Goldsmith is going after the real fans after he is only selling 10,000 tickets for a 20,000 seater arena. I am sure that the other half will be going to his company and friends and a good few thousand 'guests'!- more on this story

Shadows Fall Address Disney Ban
Metal Underground reports: Shadows Fall has announced two date changes on the upcoming Operation Annihilation tour, a co-headlining trek with Static X also featuring 3 Inches of Blood and Divine Heresy. The two dates both concern House of Blues venues positioned on property owned by the Walt Disney company.

The October 20 date to take place at House of Blues in Orlando, FL has been cancelled, and the October 31 date has moved from the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA to the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, CA.

Shadows Fall frontman, Brian Fair, recently posted the following message on the band's MySpace page: "Well my friends, it is sad to say but it looks like Mickey can't handle the metal. We have been informed that the Disney company has decided to cancel all metal shows taking place at the House Of Blues on Disney property in both Anaheim CA. and Orlando FL. I for one am surprised that Disney isn't down with the metal. After all, what is more metal than freezing the decapitated head of your founder and having secret security death squads lurking beneath the underworld of an amusement park? This is a huge disappointment for us as we have always had amazing sold out shows at both clubs. We will be moving the Anaheim show to the Galaxy in Santa Ana, and cancelling the Orlando date completely. In the meantime try and synch up your copies of Reign In Blood with any animated Disney classic. Maybe the combination with re-animate old Walt from his cryogenic state and have him get metal back in these clubs!!!"

You Are All Thieves Even if you Bought The CD!
TuneLab reports: According to Jennifer Pariser, the head of litigation for Sony BMG, copying music that you legally purchased is stealing.

When asked if it was wrong for consumers to make copies of music which they have purchased Pariser stated, "When an individual makes a copy of a song for himself, I suppose we can say he stole a song. Making "a copy" of a purchased song is just "a nice way of saying 'steals just one copy'."

She went on to state that consumers have no right to make backups of the music that they have purchased in CD format or digital download. - more on this story

Underoath Injury Update
MSO reports: As Underoath cross the U.S. on their headlining fall tour with Every Time I Die, Poison The Well and Maylene & the Sons of Disaster, they encountered an unexpected challenge at Sunday night's show in Las Vegas. While in Las Vegas, Underoath drummer/vocalist Aaron Gillespie had to undergo emergency surgery to treat an infection in his hand.

In order to avoid canceling a slew of tour dates (including some high-profile shows), the band enlisted the help of drummer Kenny Bozich--a long-time fan of Underoath who was recruited by Gillespie to join his solo project The Almost. Luck was on Underoath's side, as they had to track down Bozich while he was hiking in the mountains of Utah.

Bozich left the mountains with just enough time catch a flight to Las Vegas that landed 25-minutes before Underoath would take the stage Sunday night at the House of Blues. The band texted Bozich a set list and he listened to the songs nonstop on the flight. The group and Bozich had less than 5-minutes to talk before they took the stage, the band and Bozich managed to still play a strong 40-minute set.- ah but there is more to this story that has something to do with a DVD

Butchering The Classics
PR reports: DJ Axel has released an all mashup album titled "Breakin' The Law" on his own label Holden Records. The mashups combine Hip Hop, Rock, Disco, Funk and Ballroom combining artists as diverse as Van Halen vs T.I., Lena Horne vs 50 Cent and Stevie Wonder vs Snoop Dogg.

"Breakin' The Law" is now for sale at over 25 stores in major markets across the USA. Since the CD is an unlicensed bootleg album, most distributors are unwilling to carry the title. Axel took it upon himself to distribute the album by calling and visiting independent record stores. Retail and consumer response has been so positive that "Breakin' The Law" is now in its third pressing. - more on this story
