Beach
Boys Suit Tossed |
Contact Music reports: MIKE LOVE's latest
feud with former BEACH BOYS bandmate BRIAN WILSON has been thrown out of
court over a disputed partnership arrangement. The singer alleged a 2004
promotional CD of re-recorded Beach Boys songs - given away as part of
a promotion in Britain's Mail On Sunday newspaper - cost him millions of
dollars, damaged the reputation of The Beach Boys and violated their "partnership."
But U.S. District Judge Audrey Collins poured scorn on Love's lawsuit last
week (11May07), claiming the partnership he speaks of never existed and
pointing out the plaintiff has repeatedly done the very same thing he accuses
his cousin and former bandmate of doing.[see full story for more]-

Cops
Kill Kill Your Idols Farewell Show |
punkbands reports: Last night, Kill Your Idols
was supposed to play their last show at a lodge in Smithtown, New York.
Unfortunately, when openers Crime In Stereo started playing, the cops showed
up and shut the show down. According to KYI, that's when "things got interesting."
Here's how they put it... We decided to
try and salvage the evening for anyone who traveled long distances (Europe,
Chicago, Detroit, Florida, LA...) by doing a small show in the Down in
the Fourth practice space. Somehow, like 200 plus kids got wind of our
plan and just showed up....and we ended up having to put it on out in the
parking lot...at 10:30 at night!!!! We were s***ting our pants. I was like,
"I'm going to jail tonight, for sure". It went off as smooth as I think
it could have. I never experienced anything like this before...But it was
definitley testimony to what KYI has always been about from day 1. We could
never exist if it wasnt for our friends...NOT FANS. FRIENDS..[see full

Bon
Jovi Plans World Tour |
Sleazeroxx.com reports: Jon Bon Jovi says
fans who are disappointed in his band's light touring schedule for 2007
will be rewarded in their patience in 2008.
"There's going to be a real tour, but not
'til next year," Bon Jovi tells Billboard.com. "They're routing it now.
I think it's Japan and Australia for January into mid-February, then the
States. Early spring in Europe we'll be outdoors, then outdoors in America
-- the usual kind of run that we do."
As previously reported, the band's country-flavored
new album, "Lost Highway," is due June 19, but the vocalist won't be touring
immediately because his family is preparing to move from the Rumson, N.J.,
area to Manhattan and he wants time to settle everybody.[see full story

"Shredder" Adams |
CMJ reports: Ryan Adams is back with the June
26 release of Easy Tiger (Lost Highway), marking his first release since
unleashing three LPs in 2005. Backed by his trusty band the Cardinals for
his ninth full-length release (though Easy Tiger is billed as a solo recording),
Adams finds his way back to the signature sounds of Heartbreaker and Gold,
even receiving vocal help from Sheryl Crow on "Two."
But perhaps the highlight of the new album
is "Halloweenhead," in which Adams hones his band-leadership skills by
unexpectedly shouting "guitar solo!" before wailing away on his instrument.[see
