Flaws |
TuneLab reports: In a recent interview with
The All Knowing Force, Flaw front-man Chris Volz stated that former Fuse
VJ Mistress Juliya as the cause of the bands breakup in 2004. Volz claims
Juliya brainwashed former bassist Ryan Juhrs by introducing him to his
idols which lead to the split.
Juliya called into the show on March 13th,
along with Juhrs current band-mates in Black Market Hero, where she stated
that Volz comments were drug and alcohol induced and accused him of being

Kennedys Respond to Jello |
punkbands reports: The Dead Kennedys have
released a statement responding to former frontman Jello Biafra. Last week
Jello criticized his former bandmates for licensing their classic song,
"Too Drunk to F**k" to the upcoming Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez
double feature Grindhouse. The band's stern response also urges Biafra
to donate his portion of the proceeds to charity:
"Another year, another misleading public
claim by the ever striving for attention Jello Biafra. While we would have
preferred not to jump back into the fray, we felt it was warranted to make
a public response due to Jello publicly giving away key scene points and
false information for a movie that Tarantino's fans are eagerly awaiting.
In his statement, he included the preteen daughter of one of the other
band members. His public comments show that he is more interested in casting
himself as a martyr rather than having any regard for women's or children's
rights. It also shows that he has no regard for the safety of a child.
As usual, it's all about Jello." [see full story for more]

The
F**king Champ Makes Nice |
PR reports: The freakbeat power-pop trio The
Makes Nice, the group led by Josh Smith, founding guitarist of Drag City
"instrumetal" act The F**king Champs, continues to prove the truth of its
name with the announcement that it will play the 10th Anniversary party
for Frenetic Records, the label that released both The Makes Nice's debut
album Candy Wrapper & Twelve Other Songs and the F**king Champs double
album debut ten years ago. The label celebrates its storied history of
esoteric and genre-shattering rock on April 7th at Bottom of the Hill in
San Francisco.
Josh Smith, the unassuming (an unassumingly
named) former guitarist and co-founder of Bay Area rock faves The F**king
Champs and latter-day Drunk Horse axeman, hung up his heavy rock handle
in early 2004, looking to start something refreshing and new. Taking cues
from the pop melodies and harmonies of The Zombies, ABBA and Brian Wilson,
Smith wanted to fuse that sound to the rollicking rhythms of 60's era R&B
along the lines of the 1966 incarnation of Gatemouth Brown's Beat Boys
with Freddie King. The guitarist joined up with drummer Jack Matthew and
bassist Aaron Burnham to form The Makes Nice. [click the full story to

J Porn Deal |
TMZ reports: Kim Kardashian wasn't the only
person who enjoyed Ray J's X-rated stylings. TMZ has learned that Brandy's
little bro has been offered a four-picture deal by the adult entertainment
company releasing the upcoming Ray J / K-Dash messterpiece ... however,
the deal wouldn't require Ray J to drop his drawers, at least on camera.
Vivid Entertainment claims that they're
after Ray J to direct ... and that the rapper is actually entertaining
the offer. Ray could be the next Steven Squealberg or M.Night Shymalan-a-ding-dong!
Company CEO Steven Hirsh tells TMZ, "Our
first conversations were very uncomfortable, but after continuing to talk,
the possibility was definitely in the air."- Click

KissaneTube |
PR reports: Matt Kissane's early video clips
surface on Youtube, including vintage footage with Lemmy from Motorhead,
comic Jeff Garlin, VH-1 music vid, and classic kids show spoof. If you
ask Matt Kissane what some of his favorite memories of being an independent
producer/host/actor/director, he'd probably say "Working for free has always
been a hobby of mine. Most of my best stuff was done in haste and by mistake."
Kissane goes onto say, "Of course lately people have been paying me something
for my work, but it took a while." Kissane now 41, has worked in all aspects
of the film and TV production field, including cameraman, editor, director,
writer, producer, and or course actor. "It's good to get to know all areas
of production, that way you can relate to every person on a crew." These
days you can see Kissane's earlier work from several cable programs he
worked on throughout the 90's. He recently uploaded close to twenty clips
on Youtube.com including commercial parodies, interviews with rock stars
like Chip Z'Nuff and Lemmy Kilmeister and some comedy skits from his days
on a sketch series entitled "The Loser Club". "Those are really funny clips,
most were shot on an old 3/4 inch camera and actually held up pretty well
considering they have been in boxes in my basement for over a decade. I
wasn't sure what type of shape they'd be in, but they weren't too bad."
One video called "The Bingo Fun Club" was shown in 2001 at the Chicago
Short Comedy Video and Film Festival, "That one" says Kissane "Is a true
classic." The video stars Kissane himself along with fellow comedians Mike
Toomey, Tim Walkoe and "Meet The Parents" creator Greg Glienna.
Other so called "Classics" include a music
video Kissane directed that aired on VH-1, an interview with Jeff Garlin,
Kissane's impersonations of David Letterman and Howard Stern and his commercial
for Vehix.com. Go to www.youtube.com and type in Matt Kissane-
