Eddie Van Halen Enters Rehab |
In an exclusive statement to TMZ, the rock legend explains why he's determined to clean up his act: I would like Van Halen fans to know how much I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Without you there is no Van Halen.
I have always and will always feel a responsibility to give you my best. At the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That's why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110% that I feel I owe you and want to give you.
Some of the issues surrounding the 2007 Van Halen tour are within my ability to change and some are not. As far as my rehab is concerned, it is within my ability to change and change for the better. I want you to know that is exactly what I'm doing, so that I may continue to give you the very best I am capable of.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Rock Hall Ban Roth |
The Van Halens have been in lock-down mode since their plans for a summer reunion tour with Roth collapsed last month. Roth said he last spoke to Eddie Van Halen's camp a week ago, and he said he could not determine the truth about reports that the guitarist is seeking help for alcohol problems. "Ed is indisposed and working toward a better future here," Roth said. "If Ed ever dries up, this is going to be a stadium act, man.... What's happening here with this [New York event] is part and parcel of the same spiral that screwed up the tour."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Bono Charity Not Run Like a 3rd World Nation After All? |
US advertising trade magazine Advertising Age reported the campaign "raised a meager $18 million (£9 million)" despite a "marketing outlay by Gap, Apple and Motorola (which) has been enormous - with some estimates as high as $100 million (£51 million)". A source close to the campaign slams the report, telling the New York Daily News, "First of all, Red didn't launch products until mid-October (06) . And they raised $25 million (£13 million). "Before that, the fund had taken in about $5 million (£2.6 million) over a four-year period[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Popper Popped |
Popper was arrested along with a friend,
Brian Gourgeois, who was driving Popper's car at the time. They will both
be charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of
drug paraphernalia. The WSP also says that DEA agents seized Popper's vehicle,
and he could face federal charges of possessing a vehicle with hidden compartments.
Let's hope his harmonica playing goes over well in the big house. [see

Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" are the top three -- but unlike most album lists, this one was compiled by retailers.[because everyone knows that Creed's "Human Clay" is far better than most CDs ever released.. see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
