Bon Jovi Update

PR reports: The final week countdown has begun to the June 19th in-store arrival of LOST HIGHWAY, the new album from Island Records group Bon Jovi, featuring the Top 20 single "(You Want To) Make A Memory." The album release will be followed by "Unplugged" performances on MTV, VH1 and CMT � on June 22nd, 23rd and 24th (Friday through Sunday), respectively. As legend has it, the first "Unplugged" concert broadcast was inspired by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora's surprise acoustic performance at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards.

It has already been announced that New Jersey homeboys Bon Jovi will be the inaugural performers at The Rock, the brand new arena at Newark's Prudential Center (new home of the Devils hockey team), with multiple nights scheduled between October 25 and November 1 � the band's only tour dates of 2007. T-Pain Tops The Charts

PR reports: Konvict/Jive Records recording artist T-Pain, lands at the #1 spot on Billboard's Top 200 and R&B Album charts with his sophomore debut Epiphany. The hit single "Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')," continues to top the R&B/Hip-Hop and airplay charts.

"Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')" recently beat out artists such as Maroon 5, Avril Lavigne, Timbaland, and Ne-Yo to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart as the #1 single in the country. On four separate Billboard charts the single has been firmly set at the #1 position for several weeks: #1 Hot 100 Airplay; #1 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs; #1 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay; #1 Rhythmic Top 40, and for seven consecutive weeks T-Pain was the #1 selling ringtone on the Billboard Hot Ringmasters chart.- Click Here for the Full Story

People Noise Tour

PR reports: People Noise began making music after Zeke Buck's ten year involvement as a founding member of VHS or Beta came to a halt. Now, Buck and Matt Johnson (formerly of Boom Bip on Drums), have set out to do some of the things that they weren't album to do before. Their range recalls some of the earlier alternative rock days of bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and Radiohead, yet still births a sincerity and un-retro quality altogether its own. It shows an interesting voice of both internal and external relationships, revealing a dynamic of textures and color not typically found today. Buck says, "We want to make a record that is altogether more human. Something that is at times awkward and stumbling, and at other times, alive with a determined ambition." The result is an expedition into sound and self. A rock band like few others.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Soundtrack

PR reports: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - the enchanting score to the hotly anticipated feature film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - will be released by Warner Bros. Records on July 10th, the day before the movie opens in the U.S. on July 11th. 

Hooper recorded nearly two hours of music at London's fabled Abbey Road Studios, famous for its acoustics and ambience. His team included engineer Peter Cobbin (the Lord of the Rings trilogy), and conductor Alastair King (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest) who conducted the Chamber Orchestra of London. "The team were all the best around," Hooper says. Unreleased Wishbone Ash Recordings Sees 'First Light'

PR reports: What can only be described as the 'holy grail' of unreleased recordings by classic rock legends Wishbone Ash sees its light of day with the CD release of First Light on UK's Talking Elephant Records. Founded in 1969, Wishbone Ash has released over 30 albums to date, and has been touted as one of the first dual-guitar rock bands.

As fate would have it, through a chance encounter with guitarist Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash were signed to MCA through Derek Lawrence. Subsequently, for over 35 years the demos sat in the Apple Records acetate vault gathering dust until recently discovered. In 2006, Christies Auctions put these recordings up for purchase through their online auction house, where they were bid on and won by Wishbone Ash collector extraordinaire Dr. John (not the New Orleans music icon). The good Doctor then contacted Andy Powell about the recordings and graciously offered them back to him, in hopes that they would eventually be released for all Wishbone Ash fans worldwide to enjoy! Ha Ha Tonka Ink Deal

PR reports: Bloodshot Records is pleased to announce the signing of Ha Ha Tonka, a young band from the Ozarks that mixes lonesome four-part harmonies and high-energy rock, carving out a sound that conveys a sharp sense of place. With Buckle in the Bible Belt slated to hit stores September 11, 2007, the band hits the road this summer, playing select festivals and a string of dates with longtime heroes the Violent Femmes. Said singer/guitarist Brian Roberts, "Opening for the Violent Femmes is somewhat mind-boggling since they were one of those bands that dominated our high school years." 

Ha Ha Tonka's lyrics replicate the paradox that exists in the Midwestern Bible Belt that they know so well, where the realities of meth use, strip clubs, socio-economic hardship, and backwoods prejudices meet the literal interpretations of biblical story-tellers. This Ozark milieu creates some contradictory notions, but also some of the most poignant folk and gospel musical traditions in the nation's history. The band's first single from the album, "St. Nick on the Fourth in a Fervor", is the most representative of the band's sound, combining harmonies and biting guitar riffs with lyrics that delve into issues of nationalism, religious allegiances, and rites of passage. A lyric from the song captures the experience of this album precisely: "�this glimpse of brilliance is much better than your long look at mediocrity."

Seneca Hawk Preview and Tour

Chuck Ragan To Play Select Dates

PR reports: Singer/songwriter Chuck Ragan will be doing a seven show run beginning June 18 in San Francisco, CA and ending June 26 in Reno, NV. Ragan will be performing with his fiddle player Jon Gaunt and members of the band Dusty Roads during select nights. Ragan will also be opening for Jesse Malin in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Tempe. Ragan will be playing new material from his upcoming studio debut, Feast or Famine, out August 7 on SideOneDummy Records.
